  • So to sum things up the M3 has better dampers/springs and the mustang better balance, i.e. swaybar setup. The kicker is in 5 years you'll be able to source aftermarket and take-off parts for next to nothing on the mustang. BMW? Better sell it before things start breaking.

  • Simply love the video for one thing. When people lose to american muscle they r like its not about drag everytime. And with this being so close it would come down to driver. I just hate excuses. Ive owned both brands and loved both brands. But not a fan of biased car people. Every car ia going to have pros and cons. So choose what u like and dont bash on one another.

  • bmw Iconic? where? only because the mustang is an United States made car and cheaper that a German car does not mean the mustang is less of a car. Unfortunely, most of the time car companies sell you a more expensive product and is supposed to be better, thats not always the case, and most people always fall for that!!, and last time i heard the Ford mustang is one of the most Iconic cars of all time here in the USA.

  • I like both I have owned both and gotta say bmw and ford are good car makers but it seems like the mustang is getting to expensive to own these days for a new car I was looking at 42000 and a bmw is bout the same price

  • am i the only one that thinks the mustang looks better?

  • Both awesome cars. I currently own a Mustang GT-CS but previously an M3 and before that a 335i. Have to say, for the money the Mustang is the winner, but the extra cash definitely buys a level of refinement you just don't get in the Ford.

  • this isn't even the Boss302 still cheaper but far more refined and powerful than the GT

  • What a load of propaganda bollocks!

  • "Try that in a mustang and you'll be off the track" says it all really

  • @doctordrew66: He's referring to the way it's driven on that particular part of the course. Your comments are always typical of a little boy with hurt feelings. BTW, what year is your M3? LMAO!!!

  • @YerBuddy2 "My comments are always typical of a little boy with hurt feelings." Aww, how sweet! You're stalking me and reading my comments? Do you imagine me as a little boy? Not sure I approve of that. Why do you want to know what car I drive? Is it to fuel your fantasies? OK, but if I find you hiding out in my garden trying to watch me undress at night you're in bother. It's a 2010 Range Rover Vogue. You can imagine it in pink with fur seats if you like.

  • I own a 2005 STi, and I'm not afraid to say that the new Mustang is an AMAZING deal of a car.

Absolutely the best bang for the buck.

  • Why bother with the GT? The 2011 GT500 would destroy this M3. And it would still cost $10,000 less.

  • @CJDUBstang Actually no. If you look at the figures, the Mustang GT has identical 0-60 and a better skid pad rating. Why? Because Shelby engines are too monstrous and have too much power for a regular mustang chassis, which I don't think was modified. However the 2012 mustang 302 Boss is quicker than the M3 and that is an accomplishment.

  • @AnonymoussourceL0L lol Do i give a fuck about a "skidpad"? The GT500 in a RACE has enormous grip. There is no doubt a track pack GT500 would own the M3.

  • @CJDUBstang Wow. The skidpad determines how many Gs it can pull in a corner ergo how well it can take the corners. GT500 can't win. You have a better chance in the Boss or regular GT.

  • @AnonymoussourceL0L thats because shelby added a whole shit ton of power with adding the proper brakes and suspension to accommodate the extra power, not to mention even tho its an aluminum block its still makes the shelby more front heavy and therefor less balanced, in the older 2010 model top gear put the roush stangs on their track and it beat the shelby by i wana say somethin like 3 seconds? powers nothing without control :-) wonder what a 5.0 v8 would do with awd :-p

  • @ncon500 And now I wanna add that the new gt500 and the new m3 are identically priced.

  • mustang is so sick

  • If you ask me dollar for dollar the BMW got an assss kicking.

  • Mustang Forever!!!!!!!

  • bmw all the way mustang is ugly and cheaply made ,

  • @sphinxofthenewage its not cheaply made its just sold cheaply because that was henry fords dream when creating his car company. unlike companies like ferrari that sell cars just to fund their racing team, ford wants to get badass cars to people for an affordable price. take your ignorant hate elsewhere

  • the mustang was cherpining in all gears on the 1/4 mile.. ...that shit is serious

  • i agree give me 25k and watch that bmw try to keep up.

  • i agree give me 25k and watch that bmw try to keep up.

  • excellent clutch control on the mustang 0-60 testing....

  • i would like to see a 11' GT500 vs a M3

  • @Davidisg0d no shit. Get a GT500 for $65k and its over for the bmw.

  • @Headshot426 No sir. Get the Boss 302, and it's over for the BMW. 302 is around 40K I believe, too. So still a lot cheaper than the M.

  • Now think! if the m3 is 25 thousand more then the stang! put eh 15 thousand into the stang and say bye bye to the m3 the stang would smoke him

  • guess what all you import lovers that brag about how this m3 car makes more power per liter then the new 5.0, it damn well better have considerring the darn thing has a 12.0 compression ratio compared to the new 5.0's 11.1 compression ratio, you give the 5.0 a 12.0 compression ratio and see how mutch power it would make i gaurentee you it would make an upwords up 500 plus horsepower. You import lovers better study your engines before you say things like power per liter and stuff like that.

  • @lions66666 - I'm glad somebody knows what there talking about... Your right on the money. With 12:1 compression the 5.0 would pull over 500hp and about 480ft.lbs of torque on 93 octane. Race fuel would put it upwards in GT500 territory.

  • @JayGeePee1 if you think about it ford rates the new 5.0 at 412 when its actually about 430 and thats how it comes off the floor and you know the darn thing is choked to death, and when fully opened up its actually about 480hp with 93 octane fuel, now just imagine if it had the same compression as the m3 what the power would be im guessing an easy 550 plus horse power unchoked and about 485 plus horse power choked.

  • For the price and performance you'd think they'd come up with some sportier colors. Light blue and burgundy. Epic Fail. :(

  • Dam $25000 less than the M3 huh? think of what $25000 in perormance upgrades would do for the Stang!!!

  • @ASTENAX75

You can get with all the performance options on the stang minus the leather seats, navigation, etc. for $32,00. So the Mustang realistically is half the price of the bmw and one would probably only need to spend a few grand on the suspension to get it to beat the bmw.

  • @ASTENAX75 Dont worry, you'll need that $25k to stop the Mustang from blowing smoke after 35k miles.

  • @Kyoshi71 - LOL! You dont think the Beamer wont have the same problem? From my experience European cars are just as un-reliable as American cars. Fords definetly gotten better over the years. If you want something reliable you buy Japanese cars. You sound pissed off because an American muscle car hangs with a European car built for this type of racing...LMFAO!

  • @JayGeePee1 I agree with you that American cars are much better than they were. I grew up loving American muscle but became so dissapointed after all the years of the garbage that Detroit sold to my family (who only bought American) and tried to sell me. Ultimately I went to the Europeans.

Here's were we differ...If you think for a second that the reliability and quality of Ford matches BMW (at least for now) you deserve a strait jacket.

  • @Kyoshi71 - Like I said maybe not the Mustang, but many of Fords newer vehicles definetly compare to a BMW. My aunt bought a 2009 BMW M3, she's had nothing but problems with rings on the pistons causing an annoying engine noise, transmission leaked and locked up, electrical problems and more. She asked why the computer didn't notice this stuff, BWM couldn't figure out why. The car has left her stranded dozens of times already. She told them to shove it up there ass, she bought a Carrolla.

  • @Kyoshi71 dude.. where's your love fest for German quality coming from. Ford builds the highest quality sedan and 1/2 ton pickup. If you look at the true quality #'s for BMW, you might need the jacket to control your dilusion.

  • @Headshot426 After looking at the most recent numbers I saw two weeks ago, I must say, you're right!! I was floored when I saw the results.

  • @Kyoshi71 bwhahah..In german B-M-W spells out "always in shop". Their reliability has always been a question mark.

  • @ASTENAX75 lol just what i was thinking

  • @ASTENAX75 for 25000 you could get one of the most badass hellion quadturbochargers like in the bugatti and destroy any other car haha

  • baaaahahaha

    9:38

    WOWWW

    GOD BLESS AMERICA!

  • daaaaaaamn. i remember reading a comment a while back that the mustang had nothing on the bmw.

  • Comment removed

  • they need to do boss 302 vs m3, then lets see all these pantywaisted europeans make escuses

  • gotta love bmw fanboys who still believe european cars are small and lightweight

  • im a m3 fan and the mustang did really good .... finally ford

  • It all comes down to the driver between these two. So the metro's can buy their bmw's, i'll save the $30 grand.

  • sure i would prefer the m3 but the bottom line is that its twice as expensive as the stang. so if your looking for value i would go with the stang for half the price but if u have the $60000 why not go for the vette:)?

  • mustangs are only good at racing if there going straight there not built for turns except the roush thats pretty much the only one

  • @xavierdswat They're not there... and good job not watching the video to see how well the Mustang GT did in the twisty's.

  • @xavierdswat You do know that a Roush is just a standard GT with some better shocks, springs, and swaybars.........right? No magical high tech suspension change-outs. And you should try actually watching the video before making hollow statements on the capabilities of a car you know nothing about. Cheers.

  • @razorfett147

actually i do know about mustang gt and roush and yes it does have better suspension than gt so it could still do better than the regular ford mustang gt

  • @xavierdswat If it's not good for turns and barel lost by a 10th of a second than your admitting that the BMW is equally as bad in turns to no? So a Roush would destroy the BMW alot more than the Mustang GT did.

  • @xavierdswat did you watch the video dumbass?
