She's am M38 1953 or earlier. She is military as you can tell by the lights and gas intake . If you take the gas cap off the filler pipe can be extender about 10 inches to fill from a Jerry can.
Nice nice rig. Congratulations.
Oh these were built by Willies, Ford and Dodge.
I could never figure out which was which without checking the Cylinder Head and it takes about 15 minutees to change the engine and transmittion so that may not be a good way the check the chassi manufacturer.
I own a 1943 GPW Ford jeep. What I can see from this video is that jeep is maybe a M38. It is the next military model to come out after the WW2 jeeps. It has the brush gaurd wire across the headlights and the hinged grill. The camera is moving to fast to get any good detail. Thank you for the kind comments about our veterans of WW2 chelominson.
Actually this one is the civil version. 7 stripes front grill instead of 9 and bigger head lamps. Openable rear and no floating axle shaft in the rear axle between other differences. Anyway this jeep looks great !!
Sorry for my english is to bad, nothing is more glorious than the willys (the original) , no hummer, no ford, no toyota, no nothing... is the perfection, when I see this marvelous tecnologic, I see the nazis crying, I see the glorious american soldiers figthing for the freedom of europe, its a symbol of liberty, its a United States of America symbol, its the best 4wd in the history. I m from Argentine, thanks for this video !!!!

@pablof59
If I'm not mistaken it was the MB with the smaller lights insight and 9 stripes of grill not the M38.
akissgr1 1 year ago
@akissgr1 As far as I know the one you found is a CJ-3a, the military (9 stripes grill) version is as you wrote known as MB.

@pablof59 also about the head lamps if it was a MB they should be set back, so they could be flip back words to add light in the engine compartment.
Also there should be tool indentations on the drive side but yea its still a nice jeep
