  • They used to play this as part of Monkey Thursday on WOR-TV in NYC every Thanksgiving. King King, Son of Kong, Mighty Joe Young and Mad Monster Party. It kept us kids from getting underfoot!

  • 3 peeps without hearts.

  • Francesca is one very hot, puppet chick!!!

  • What an absolutely amazing song. One of my favorite shows to watch annually growing up in the 70s. I LOVED Francesca and still do. Of course, now I love the actress who portrayed her (Gale Garnett). What a sexy, sultry, GORGEOUS voice!!! Why didn't this woman take the music world by storm? What an incredible talent!

  • O, why can't singers and songs these days be sweet and delightful like this??? WHY!!!!??????? TOT

  • This looks like Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie in THE TOURIST.

  • i really want to see this :D it looks great :3 anyone know a link to the movie? or where i could watch it? :/

  • they are good at dancing!!!!!!!

  • i woke up singing this song... for some reason. so glad I found it!!!

  • Francesca is the FINEST PUPPET I'VE EVER SEEN!

  • Francesa rocks!

  • I love her voice:D!

  • @Moonstone2732 This was my fav movie as a kid ..now looking back, think Franchesca sounds like Debra Harry from Blondie!! She was a sexy claymation creature!! I still love this claymation!! Timeless!

  • Its our time to shine..........xxxxxx christina kisses

  • Haven't seen this one in a long long time.

  • Im 16 Nd My Dad Showed Me This Movie On Vhs.. I Was Soooo In Love With This Moviee.!

  • Comment removed

  • they showed this movie once once on what use to be fox family. And I only saw up to the movie when it almost ended. I waited every year but they never showed this movie again. That would be so awsem if they showed this movie again besides the new crap movies they show now. :(

  • i love this movie<3

  • Come for the freak, stay for the show.

  • I always loved this movie! When I listen to MJ's "Thriller" I always sing "It's Phyllis Diller! You came for comedy, and now you're running for your life! Ah- ha-ha-ha-haaaaaa...."

  • In the booklet with the DVd it says that not one of these puppets exsists today. Shame to loose artistic creations like these.

  • Well don't feel bad..Rankin-Bass also have Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty The Snowman, and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.

That is, we'll continue to have them, until some pissed off PC special interest group put the kaibosh on that too claiming that the depiction of red nosed reindeer stereotypes all reindeer as alcoholics...

Anyway, I saw this movie on WNEW 5's Creature Features as a young un' back in 71' or 2 when I was around 7. Great movie and cute puppetry!

  • this is from the rankin bass group , they did a few christmas stories too , little drummer boy , rudolph and santa claus is coming to town featuring the voice of fred astair they excelled at this animation the tim burtons of there time

  • The sound of this movie is amazing and probably pushed '60s sound to the limit. The makers were very clever since they realized the audience is watching just a bunch of puppets, therefore, we must have great sound and it will work well.

  • You ought to check out the video gale garnet We'll sing in the sunshine

  • I love this song it was best song in the movie, I had a crush on Francesca too ha ha ha. I think Rachael Ray should dress like her for Halloween cause she looks so much like her except the voluptuos parts would have to trade places.

  • No. Rachel. Ray.

  • rachel ray?? No way! Francesca is way better (even if she is a puppet)

  • I respect your opinion but I thought the reaction was pretty funny.

  • cute

  • We love your video. Thats why we put it in our Required Watching Segment. Check it out on our channel and dont forget to subscribe!

  • Gale Garnett is a singer from the '60s, isn't she? I believe she sang, "We'll Sing in the Sunshine." Thanks for sending this to me.

  • Francesca: the original Jessica Rabbit.

They used to play this on Sunday afternoons in the Midwest. I never missed it if it was on.

I do think her bust should be bigger, though. I don't think her character is curvy enough.

  • Nice reference....

  • I read somewhere years ago that they actually DID model Jessica Rabbit after Francesca. But who was Francesca modeled after? ;)

  • She was modeled after sexist/horny 1960's men's minds after they were bored of the 50's housewife phenomenae.

  • As made clearly most recently in Joan Holloway on Mad Men.

  • @SueSnell Francesca was modeled after singer Gale Garnett who is singing the song.

  • @1pollo1rabbit ...Mmm... I don't think so. I know that Gale Garnett sang the song, as well as pop hits, but if you've ever seen her, you'd know she looks absolutely nothing like Francesca. I love Gale, but pretty and curvy, she was not. And was certainly not a redhead.

  • One of the best movies ever made..

this was and still is incredible.

    YAY thanks for posting !

  • Gale Garnet (Francesca) had a successful music career.

Remember her song: We'll sing in the sunshine?"

  • just goes to show, she is as good wiyh any kind of show or song....go girl.........

  • I love Rankin Bass movies. They are such an inspiration.

  • who is this Gale person anyway? Is she supposed to be some kind of monster or is she a human? Is there a way to see the whole vid?

  • yeah buy it yeah cheapskate

  • she's a robot,sorry I spoiled it.

  • She's a robot created by Dr. Frankenstein.

  • o_0

  • uhmm=??

  • gvb

  • WTF?!

  • I haven't seen this film since the 1970s. It used to be on WNEW-TV (Channel 5 in NYC) every year on Halloween.

  • Doesn't anyone else think she looks like Geena Davis? I think if they decided to make a live action of this, she'd be perfect. And maybe Rick Moranis as Felix.

  • I think she looks more like Rachael Ray but with big boobs instead of a big butt. Look at how high her eye brows are and the shape of her mouth Rache even has the voice.

  • Jessica Rabbit, Sade, and Fiona Apple all sound like Gale Garnett.

  • When she talks, she sounds like vintage Kathleen Turner aka "Jessica Rabbit".

  • i cant believe it got a pg with franchesca's breasts

and there is one scene where the monsters mate rips off her top and her rack was nearly truely shown

  • tHANKS FOR THIS ONE ALL I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND WAS THE MUMMY.

  • I remember this from the 60's myself. By the way if you remember the X-mas Cartoons Frosty the snowman and Rudolph the Rednose Raindeer the same people produced this cartoon.

  • This movie is the best!

  • Holy crap! This is the first time I've seen this since I was a kid sitting in a movie theater in 1969! I absolutely *must* see this movie again. I thought it was great then, and I was right. This scene is freaking excellent!

  • That movie is on DVD. Go to the Anchor Bay website and find Mad Monster Party. You can find it there or any websites they have. Great DVD, Anchor Bay. Rankin Bass, the kings of entertainment.

  • Rankin Bass should of made more movies with that Gale Garnett puppet!!!How that puppet got pass censorship back then I'll never know!!!

  • great song

  • shit hot song

  • huge boobs though, totally disproportionate

  • Really like this song and gale garnett's voice...WOW!

  • this movie was so cute even today

  • I like this song and the film was great.

  • tap dancing dracula!
