I live in Fort Worth Texas where the Toadies formed back in the early 90's. I saw them at Madhatters in Fort Worth. One of their first concerts. I still love them to this day and can't get enough of this song. New album, No Deliverence, comes out in August. Check it out!!

This was the first song that I ever learned on the guitar, eight years back. I remember when I first heard it. The video is alright, but the song brings back so many memories. I've come so far, and it's almost become a theme song for me. It had a huge impact on me, and pretty much inspired me to pick up the guitar again. It's so easy, but so much fun. A novelty, and a quality one at that.

lol there's a story to this song.. about this town in Texas called Possum Kingdom.. I'm from Austin myself and honestly i've heard folk tales of this place tho never been to the lake myself apparently out there some girls vanished only found later rape/murdered out in the lake.. its on wikipedia.. lol so the toadies made a song about their home state and its always been a close fav since i was young girl.. right next to metallica 'one'..

This has got to be one of my all time favorite songs! The first time I heard it I was really impressed by the cool guitar work. Then I really started to listen and I realized how truely creepy the lyrics were. I kept picturing some kind of psycho- stalker singing this. This video really captured that darkness.
