Thanks Simon, very useful. I will have one of these later this year and will fit all the options except the D-Star board which comes as standard where I am (Japan).

Just an aside; don't you worry about ESD when working on the rig? I would definitely wear an earthed wrist strap.

TS2000 vs IC9100 .... not really ... the IC9100 is a very different rig using v diff techniques in design ... latest DDS, DSP processor and software, USB audio, etc lets put it this way .. a couple of TS2000 owners who came to my place to have a play went away looking very green ;) the functions of the radios ... well a lot of radios are pretty standard ... but the DSP NR and RF filtering and sensitivity would be the items I most say are improved
