The first time I played Metal Slug was on a mobile java game that starred Allen as the main character. The game sucked, but I actually thought he was a good guy since he was the main character. I didn't know he was a recurring boss for the series. XD

He is in every part as i noticed, but i like that he is difrened in some, he even helps you at MS 3, aswell as he shows as robot in another.

Actually, savestates would help against a Level 8 Allen...if you plan on going the second route. Allen attacks a whole lot more aggressively on that difficulty, if I recall right.

WOW I never tried that strategy to beat Allen coz he's one tough baddie. It'll be doomsday when I can finally get the courage to fight a machine-gun wielding Allen O'Neil with a knife!

He taunts the player with the phrases "C'mon, boy", "Go home to mommy", and "you're mincemeat" , as well as maniacal laughter. Upon defeat he always utters "See you in Hell!" He uses an M60 machine gun, a knife, and blue grenades that erupt in an angry red flame upon detonation. Despite the fact that Allen clearly meets his end at the conclusion of every encounter, usually in a gruesome manner, the game makers have humorously brought him back in each new iteration of the series.

I tried but you tube has the limit of 500 letters in order to lower spoilers. So I tell it now => Allen always come back because he is strong as a rock, and also because he wanna see her wife/kids, so he have to survive. :D I like Allen a lot thanks to this, that's funny!

Heh, looks like you had this figured out long before I did. Now I wonder if using grenades at point-blank instead of the knife would be better (of course in a real run you'd probably want to save those.)
