The melody line of this song is amazingly beautiful and breathtaking. Few singer/songwriters would release songs like this these days. This is one of my favorite songs among the Oldies. Thanks for posting this clip, which I will treasure
@74sodapop at least a grandmother I would think -But she was cute and in those days girls weren't made up with styllish hair cuts and makeup as they were 20+years later and are now-- She probably will never be told she was in this video or see it herself - That's a shame because that would be special to hear from her now!
Alice in Wonderland is a first-rate fantasy, Tim Burton did some magic on it...made even better with digital 3D technology...good news I found it streaming free with high quality at
@74sodapop: I have the original 45RPM records of some of Neils hits...I can send you the record jacket photo for "Alice in Wonderland" if you would like. Thank for posting this song. P.S. my folks and some close family friends knew Neil when he lived in Brooklyn, NY in the fifties. He was a really nice guy.
I would love to hear about the "Linda" who is pictured in the great video. I hope she is aware of her picture being here. I'm guessing that this is her high school senior picture, probably around the time of this song.
I don't know how I ever missed this song growing up, as my name is Alice. I just heard it for the first time yesterday on Sirius Radio when I was watching my 3 month old grandson.
this is one of those Wonderful little songs that makes your day bright...always loved this song...interestingly, the first song of his that was recored, was by Dina Washington!...Also love his song "Since You've Been Gone" recorded by Clyde McPhatter!
Lewis Carrol would cry with joy to hear this song were he alive now. This song is the most melodious of all of Neil Sedaka's songs, which we categorize as eternal masterpieces.
Tried to rundown "LINDA" via the potrait company. Just couldn't find her. That sure would be fun.

@ali1058 Makes one wonder what else we miss along the way.
I first heard Alice in the summer of '79. A favorite since!! BTW, this
was the last hit of Neil's first pop music career. Charted in mid-
twenties I think.
