Isn't the original a combination of alternate picking the low strings and the high notes chickenpicked?

@brosaguitar I have never seen him play the song so I cant be sure, I just play it the notes I heard from listening to the cd and also I think its a great alternate picking string skipping lesson in itself. But the other way is also cool

I hear him plucking the high notes, not picking the notes. I've never seen him play also.
