@kuha5ster No. Yoga is one of the worst exercises for fat burning. Keep it simple, control your diet and walk, jog, or jump rope EVERY DAY. The fat will melt off.
hi patrick , thanks for this great video ;-)How long would you recommend holding the core poses for to strenghten ? like 3 reps of 5 minutes a day ?keep up the great work .

@jambonsambo Hold them as long as you are able without your body beginning to shake. That probably won't be 3 - 5 minutes for any of these. More like 30-50 seconds.

You're so cool! Love your style! You make this all so inviting; not intimidating! Great technique and videowork. Also you have a cool demeanor; you don't come off like those yoga geeks...!
I've been doing yoga for about ten years. It took about 7 to get to the poses shown in this video, mainly because I started so far behind with my leg flexibility.
I'm really tight in my hamstrings especially. I try to stretch everyday. I play sports which make it tight. Any ideas on good ways to stretch it? Stretching the hamstrings, for me, is very painful. Any stretches?
Hello Patrick and all you guys in Yokohama. I must say I love all your videos. They have really benefit my Yoga training and motivation to train. But, when are you going to do a video about headstanding?
time? effort? whats that, ill take one of those effortless belts i can wear anywhere... lol only joking. i was just wondering though, when i do locust i bruise my pubic bone!i have tried it on double mats...but sadly no, still bruised. any tips? thanks!and i really like your vidoes there really helpful for me as i live down the countryside and am working fromBKS Iyengar book(dont worry i have taken loads of classes before and never do something that hurts or that i havnt done before in a class)

I've been practising half locust pose for years... but it doesn't seem like I'm improving at all, my legs just won't get any forward.

@kuha5ster Kundalini.
I also agree to do actual cardio 4 times per week as well.

Dear Patrick,
I saw your surfing and yoga film and I always had felt that connection, and I think it is a GREAT video!!!! Damn, all the vids are FANTASTIC.
I am too stiff, but learn to not care and have fun, not looking at others/comparing.
U rock!!! Do you have a girlfriend?
