depends on gear, if you use an m-g and duel a b-g and are enough skilled you can pwn him without being hit.
if you use an a-g its just point & click, especially in a-g duels.

you simply can live without that, and still be considered a good player only because you camp dens etc.

Um, Honestly, it's all pilot dependant. If your skills are up to par then you will be deadly. I believe the same rule applies to all gears. :)
