@BrickBlaster5000 - this train wasn't built as an exact copy of thomas, it spent most of its life as a real, working steam engine. after it was retired, it was fixed up and made to look like thomas as much as possible, since it was such a similar design.

@BrickBlaster5000 it might have just been an easier design. the real engine had pistons underneath the loco. and they probably couldnt have found the exact model engine and the type of engine he is in a UK engine. not an american engine. must have just been cheaper and easier. i too wish it was the original engine design tho :/
