I dont want to sound like a total jerk cuz...I feel bad that so many people hated their jobs so much.... but that pressure is kind of what a sales job is, and being a banker is a sales job (atleast that is what it has become over the last 20-25 years).
Not everybody is cut out for sales... but they hire sales people because the products dont sell themselves (ie- sometimes you need to sell stuff that people dont absolutely need)

selling stuff people don't need isn't at all productive. Justifying forcing people to sell crap people don't need is unethical to many people's moral compasses.
Bank of America is a slave runner, ignorant, and detestable. I was a senior teller in Bank of America for three and a half years and they treated us like trush. Daily harrassment if you don't sell credit cards, checking, accounts, or other unnessessery products, I will write you up. I quit my job. They didn't provide me with a chair right away since I had a tendonitis on my feet doctor recommended. It took them four months, but if I call a customer 4 minutes late, I would get fired on the spot.

FACT. I myself bank at BofA but they make JACK SHIT off me. My automated ACH paycheck makes my checking accout truly FREE. BofA could _pay me_ to buy an upsell but TOO BAD. I'm too smart to buy shit I don't need.
2. No one FORCED you to work there. Find another place to work. Goddamn lazy sheep.
3. Corporations exist to make money. If you don't like it don't support it. Find another job and bank elsewhere.
