Blue ridge means its a boy,plane nose ridge a girl...remember boys have more color in nature and thats were it shows on an a blue budgie...the nose ridge.
Um instead of showing/sharing with us that you hand tamed your new budgie...ARNT YOU GOING TO SHOW US HOW ASWELL???? :) My parakeets flew away this friday and luckily my neighbos found her this friday NIGHT and I just got her back yesterday! she wasnt harmed at all and i made an udate video about it :) SOOO HAPPYYY! sadly,I havn't found the others but I havn't given up on them yet. I might get another NEW parakeet and tame that one as well :)
@CharmIsHere theres no quick way of taming a new budgie, theres a guide on a website i found recently birdtrainer.co.uk step by step guides on taming budgies plus its free unlike most sites :). iv just got one this week he's terrified of me at the moment his but he'll get there in a couple of weeks :D hope it helps anyway!!!!

@warlock66613666 Buy another cage and seperate the two.They will flock together,and you will become the predator.Bond to both of them seperately.They can play together,but no live together.Look up more budgie training videos.
Oh he's gorgeous, such lovely colours. I've had my budgie for about a month, but he won't listen to me when I try to train him. I'd like to know your method.
Actually this is a young male because when male budgies are found they can have pink females can have white with a hit of light baby blue or they can also be brown.
I have one exactly like that on his name is Sherbert Holmes but for short I call him Sherbee... I got another one today shhhh he's sleeping right now... he has some stripes on him and some black under his wings and I named him Yellow... (I don't understand the logic behind that at all but ok...)

@TheSuperJayys he didnt ignore you, he just was scare of you,.. all wild budgies are afraid of humans, have u ever tried to tame him? lots of non hand tame budgies is scare of humans
@MrBigTortoise because he is afraid of you, first all you can open ur budgie cage and let him out from his cage, then grab a small towel and catch the budgie but make sure dont squeeze him to hard and then take his wing and cut 4 front big feathers of his both wings, the clipping budgies wing feathers will make the hand taming easier.. then when you clipped his wings put him back to his cage and leave him for about 4 hours...
@MrBigTortoise yea they can but the best thing is leave open the cage doors and you have to go to another room so they will think is safe and will out from the cage

@MrBigTortoise i use to have a the yellow lutino budgie with red eyes too but she die.. it is very hard to get the lutino budgies especially from the pet shop.. im still looking for the yellow red eye birds where i live but is really hard to find them .. hope u will find the another lutino budgie..

@WarLordTheGreat333 I just got my budgie yesterday...I've had several in the past. What I did to get her use to me was to just grab her gently...she'll bite at first but just gently hold her in your hand and use your pointer finger to rub her...getting her used to human touch. talk to her as well while you do that. Softly say no biting and the name while you rub your budgie. Today I got her out without any biting...hope this helps.

Guys it's not really that hard. Once you get him he won't want to eat but he'll be hungry trust me. So take some millet or seed whatever and offer it to him in your hand. Once it starts eating from your hand it will realize your hand is not a predator that will attack it. Within a few hours he'll be tame. I've tamed like 10 budgies for my little sister.

Lol and my bird was SOO tame that I could leave his cage, AND my room door open all day and he would fly around my room but never leave my room. smart budgie i say.
I found it VERY easy to tame my bird. I would have my budgie chillin on my shoulder doing nothing but chillin cuz she knew too much biting on me bugs me a lot. My budgie took on my same personality he was jus chillin.

@chelleybabey he is not clipped but he flies to me on command(sometimes) he's target trained but he hates it when I touch his feathers and bites so he doesn't step up, he eats from my hand too. I want to know how to let him accept touch and like me and not fly everywhere

MY BIRDS ARE PRETTY TAME TO(they sit on my hand,they barely bite me and i can pet them and they sit on my shoulders and everything else and i teach them tricks to) (except for like 2 or like 1) I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO FULLY TAME MY BIRDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(now they are starting to bite me,they fly away from me, THEY HATE ME!! and fly somewhere high so i can't get them :( PLEASE HELP ITS ANNOYING ME!

@twobeautygirls what I do is, I give the budge an hour or two to get used to the area and calm down then i start to hand tame it ^_^

my budgie comes on the finger but then he backs on his cage again :) but he doesn't bite, he likes cudles ,. i hand tame my budgie in 1 week lol it was easy :P

Hey i have a question ...... 2 Weeks ago i bought a budgie... He was quite terrified too when he came.. Suddenly today.. He started like squeeking and stuff so i opened the cage and he jumped up on my finger.. Is that a sign of it becoming tame ?

@xxgoldieloxroxxx well i just tried to involve them in as much as i could like if i was watching tv, they would sit on my shoulder with me, or if i was reading or something!, then they get used to you like mine now are like 2 weeks old and they like me waay better than their cage now and want me to be with them every second!

@xxgoldieloxroxxx what you do is you put some millet or treats on your hand and the parakeet will fly onto your hand to eat it and eventually it will trust you

@chelleybabey he is not clipped but he flies to me on command(sometimes) he's target trained but he hates it when I touch his feathers and bites so he doesn't step up, he eats from my hand too. I want to know how to let him accept touch and like me and not fly everywhere

He's wingclipped, it's not that hard to tame a wingclipped bird because...oh look, they can't fly!
Get a flighted bird and tame it within that time, then I might be impressed.

fyi Enriquezarmy, my information happens to come from reading not every one depends on the oppionions of untrained people my info happens to come from the animal planets hard back book on parakeets you can purchase this book for 10.00 to 15.00 U.S at your local pet store or online check page 19 .. and the parakeet in the video is young but clearly old enough to tell its sex.

@Bambadowa A tip touch him on the him make him know you hand, you have to atleast keep your hand near him so that he knows that your safe and then if he gets on, Give him a treat
