  • Wow! These cars have really a short life, man... for example Renault Megane 1996 and Peugeot 106 1996. Those cars are 15 year old cars, not 30 year old buckets! And so many people do need a car, and these idiots scrapped 10 year old cars that have minimum damage or even none. Here I know many 80's oldies that are alive.

  • lot of cars look in good condition in this yard

  • I'm from the UK and I have no idea how to get a part, what do you do? ring them to ask if you can come to the yard or what? :S

  • @ikilleduku you can call and some will have a good idea of what they have in stock, it can save a wasted journey. It can be a great adventure just turning up and having a look round. some of the people you see there may look unfriendly and aggressive, but they are nearly always great and helpful, they only want to do business.

  • @kraftwerkmod I'm just wondering if you know of any good scrapyards in Essex as I'm in need of a spare bonnet, I don't really know what to do, what did you do when you went there did you ask someone for permission, I don't really understand what a scrapyard is... :/

  • @ikilleduku I dont really know essex, but find some breakers / scrap yards the internet is good and just turn up, but it can be hit and miss for what you want, but I always enjoy having a look round at the old wrecks

  • awww an renault 19 : ( i has one of those, pretty nice cars in that scrap yard.

  • Are you sure it's not the Daewoo Espero you're looking at when you say you've seen a Lancia? The maroon one with the wheel on the bonnet? I can't see anything out of the ordinary there.

  • spot on with your ID of the maroon one, difficult to get right with so much of the grill missing.

  • The average lifespan for cars in this country is 12 years. I've heard it's only 10 years in the USA though.

  • saw a lancia delta!

  • surely not, these were mostly rover ford vauxhall renault VW peugeot, nothing a bit more exicting like lancia. what colour an time

  • Nice to listen to some birds singing among these rusty cars lol

  • clearly a car breakers, not a scrap yard, glad to see the elv regs being adherred to (not) the newer cars will be insurance rights offs cat d etc.. or bought at auction for breaking for parts, the shells and reamaing parts etc.. will then be depolluted and recycled in a proper scrap yard

  • why?

  • car life must be pretty short there, these look newer than half the cars on roads here in western USA. I still drive a 1950 Chevrolet on weekends and just had to give up my favorite 1984 Audi after fire.

  • nah what it is, here in england we have vehicle checks which happen once a year called "M.O.T'S" Most cars fail the test like the ones in this video so the best thing to do is scrap em'. These are all made in the 90's and are pure and simply fucked who gives a damn about these cars man

  • Wow! Seems like a hell of a waste of resources and money to scrap nearly new cars! That happens in our NE due to winter salt on roads, but out here in the west, cars can last for decades. A good friend still drives a '56 Olds and a '60 Volvo.

  • ahh i hate camera holding noises

  • some of the cars are like new :( i love cars

  • they must have stuff wrong with them to make them not worth reparing

  • no i think the rim & tyre is one of the best bits for being re-used or recycled

  • if you have any runners do you banger race them?

  • shouldnt any of them have tires
