這首詞用的是拼湊式內容，利用不斷出現的各個地點，東拼西湊的方向和地點表達了思緒的混亂，但無論景物有否改變，也會想起心中念掛的人：看見風景依然時會懷念舊人，見到有甚麼改變就慨嘆連憑弔的提示都沒有了。最初聽有點奇怪，為甚麼這首歌會叫做「浪漫時代」呢？當然，詞裡面有一句出現多次的「遊過浪漫時代」，但主角遊過的其實是繁華都市……後來想深一層，才明白意思是說，他在都市裡遊走，其實一直在利用從前與舊愛到過的多個地方，來懷緬一個逝去的「浪漫時代」。
