@hougSTAR there are two types. LASEK and LASIK. lasek with an "e" is done by creating a flap on the eye and peeled back exposing the area of surgery. lasik with an "i" is commenly referred to as PRK, where they take the cells on the front of the eye and scrape them off. i had to have mine dilluted with an alcohol soulution before they could scrape the cells off.
dont get prk surgery. it ruined my eyes.
