  • far as I'm concerned, that first jump off the top of the HMS Belfast defines "epic".

looks like about 6 or 7 metres.

    truly amazing

  • What ages do you generally work with?

  • LDN <3

  • omg!! i love parkour^^

  • fuck yea parkour 4 ever

  • hello mike. XD. i still haven´t seen "jump london". here´s my question, though: have you come across girls practicing free running ? that´s kind of a lame question [XB] but i want to know what are your/their thoughts about this subject [gender/free running/parkour]. thank u.

  • Yes, I have seen many females doing this (and worked with some). Parkour is for everyone!

  • cool directing and vid:)

  • Watching this was what got me into parkour. i'd heard of this sort of thing before but never really thought about doing it until this.

  • i need to try this

but i live in brooklyn and i cant find no spots lol

  • dude i've been to brooklyn

THERE ARE TONS OF SPOTS JUST LOOK INFRONT OF YOU

  • there would bea THOUSAND spots to train in brooklyn!!!! haha ...you just don't have the "Traceur Eye" yet ;)

  • Will these guys still have knees when they're 35...? Can't be good on your knees, but it's a really cool urban sport...

  • It remains to be seen! They're pretty good at rolling out to absorb the hit, but some are better than others at this for sure...

  • yes they will, and they will still have knee's when there 60!! this is why we condition for years and years! to be able to last!!!!

  • You, Sir, have given purpose to my life, and many thousands of others'. I thank you wholeheartedly. Never stop directing.

  • That's very kind of you. Thank you.

  • whats the soundtrack called

  • It's Visitors, from the Jump London original soundtrack. Available via iTunes (it's an extra on the Jump Britain OST album, and available separately I think)

  • interesting what the body can do if it needs to, but this is a bit dangerous

  • Like any discipline, it's only dangerous if you don't know what you're doing and are unprepared. These guys have been working up to this sort of thing for years.

  • The jump from the buildings was really DANGEROUS. Wow. I'm impressed, but not sure it's a smart habbit, taking these kinds of risks.

  • yeah, they are two totaly diferent things lol, and this is parkour, not free running, honestly look it up

  • this is awesome, very inspiring.

  • Instead of crazy and "extreme" camera angles, let the movements speak for themselves.

  • sweet

  • Wow I saw this like 5 months ago and forgot to save it!

    Finally it is found again

  • when will this be back on tv or where eles could i see this?

  • You can order the DVD from Amazon.

    Mike

  • Seen the whole thing on channel 4, was pretty amazing.

But I prefer the name Free Running over Parkour.

  • Free Running and Parkour are different things. Free running originated from Parkour, so they have the same 'basics', but are different.

  • yeah but they are different things, its liek calling a marathon a sprint...

  • hahaha you prefer the name of free running! they're two different things.

  • if you have got skype we may chat my skypename is jump_montana

  • thank you :)

  • can someone tell me how can I download this videio and as well others ???? or there is no way

  • how can they jump the interface between the houses I can jump but not so long distance I only see that before they jump there is somekind os stair whiich is maybe 10 or 15 centemeters high which maybe helps them to push out and make the jump easier I gotta go in this town, find this place and try to jump it :)

  • It's all about conditioning.

  • I love it

  • Check out an amazing Parkour video under my nickname. Parkour Brothers. Also on the related videos down the side here.

  • What a rubbish video =P

The reason I & about 10k others started free running. Thanks Mike =).

I'd love to see another professionally made doc. with the focus just on the runners - without limiting scenes to iconic structures.

  • Lol, yes I hate it too. ;O)

Jump Britain was a bit more about the individuals, but of course the iconic landscapes are needed to raise the finance for such major docs. The great thing about YouTube is you get to see the sort of in depth material that we would be deemed niche by the big broadcasters e.g. Julie Angel's excellent stuff.

We're due a Jump sequel, and we're thinking and talking about it. Maybe soon...

  • There are so many skilled and genuine people to work with now, I can't wait to see what you come up with. Just out of interest, what's the format likely to be? It goes without saying I know, but if I can help at all..

  • Ah, far too early to say what it will be. There's options and high ambitions but complications as ever.

  • I had enough of a headache just contemplating how another Jump project might be approached. Good Luck.

  • but also it may be jump and the name of nay town

  • Man... So it was you. I can't tell you how big a part of my life this stuff's become. Major props to ya. Really, fanx for a lot of fun.

  • My pleasure :O)

  • they're not very good compared to other videos I've seen.

and the way it was shot was pretty crap too. because of all the angles shown on one jump it makes it look fake. I'd prefer to have seen a jump from just one angle so you could see it clearly.

  • fair enough but you have to keep in mind that jump london was the first tv programme about parkour in the uk ever... at the time of filming the traceurs in the clip were probably some of the only ones in the world. jump london was the reason that parkour has become such a phenomenon today

  • Well said! :O)

  • Well you're entitled to your opinion, but fortunately it's a minority one.

Jump London was a massive critical and ratings hit in the UK, and sold to 65 countries. If it had been more staticly shot, it wouldn't have worked for the mainstream audience (though it would have worked for a much smaller specialist extreme sports audience).

  • mike, this inspired me to start parkour. I have you to thank for a great deal of this. thankyou =)

  • That's very kind of you. Thank you.

  • i cant view it keeps freezing any tips

  • how shit was that angle they got for the boat jump.

    cheers for uploadin tho.

  • They? lol.

There were reasons for all the angles we went with. Obviously, I've learnt a lot since then (it's nearly 4 years old).

  • They have issues...How do they do that

  • parkour

  • Wow, I love watching this stuff.

    It's so..Amazing and beautiful.

  • I once died trying to do this

  • Glad u survived!
