hi nice too see these videos , i used to read the positioning and 22 immutable laws by trout and ries. its nice to know how he actually looks trough these videos. a human face to the material. hehe
"No guy wants to drink beer from a glass that looks like a wine glass?" The Ries Report clearly doesn't know much about markets outside the US. Anyone who's spent time in Europe knows that premium beer is commonly served and enjoyed in curved glasses of different sizes. Broaden your horizons guys. The world is bigger than the US of A.
So bias, it only gives half the information. Typical marketing strategies. What they don't tell you is how much money is pumped into advertising, the other reasons the products sell and how stupid the generel public are. Anyone can make a simple logo but not many people can fund a multi-million dollar campaign to get it out there.
Actually YouTube is not the main way we distribute our videos, I am not concerned how many views we have. People take our adviced based on the fact we are best-selling authors. Most people are viewing the Ries Report on our website or on an iPod (via iTunes.) Thanks CitizenVain.
I love these videos! I'm a biology major at VA Tech and we are having a small logo competition among the summer researchers for our project. Your videos are very helpful. THANKS for posting.

i dont´t think complex designs are bad for sophisticated brands. the comparison between cadilac and nike logos may be mistaken
