Yes. The reason he lost his finger was because during his time, to be able to use the hidden blade, your ring finger had to go. But it was modified later which is why ezio has his finger.

In my personal opinion I liked Altair as a char more then Ezio.

Sure, AC1 was shit, just do your objectives kill target and it's done.

But I still think they should have continued Altair's story then make up Ezio.

Has anyone noticed in AC1, Desmond says he's "not an Assassin, not anymore" , then in the AC2 prologue he says "i'm a prisoner of war, a war I never knew existed, waged by two groups i never thought were real." To me that doesn't make sense that he he was a part of a group he has never knew about. Can someone explain it to my tiny brain. :)

This is a wild theory, but in Oliver Bowden's latest book, he talks about Altair, Maria and their oldest son assassinating Genghis Khan. Altair was suspicious that Genghis was in possession of a piece of Eden therefore explaining why he was able to conquer so much of Eurasia. Perhaps this is true and Altair hid this additional piece of eden in the hidden library at Masayaf!
