Thanks for the review; I have photoshop elements for mac on my computer but I don't know how to use it, so, I was wondering if you think Pixelmator would be better, or a compliment to, or is easier to use?
This is an excellent product. For most video editors, this is a more the satisfactory replacement for photoshop (although photoshop does offer a little bit more control). And it certainly looks much nicer! The GUI is fantastic. It's pretty, it's subtle enough not to get in your way, and it fits the mac interface philosophy very well.
Photoshop is much more powerful. I have used it for many years and it really is the standard. However, Pixelmator would give me enough features for 90-95% of the work I now find myself doing. So for me, a real bargain.

I just realized, why do I need Pixelmator if I have Photoshop and it runs from SSD drive for 2 seconds.

That is not really the point. This is a very polished application, loads of features and lightning fast. Very good value IMO.
