I was driving home from shopping this morning and this song came on my radio. It made me smile and go down memory lane to when I was a child dancing away in my room to this music for hours and hours on end, day in, day out. Gosh, what wonderful happy memories this song evoked! Thanks, but in the music business we have for many years used the term "cover" to refer to the recording of a writer's song. The term "cover version(cover record)" is just what you said it is. However, FYI, all the renditions are "covers" of Aaron and Sid's song. In my post, I said "the song" was covered, not "my recording' of the song.
