Run times are really good, don't know how long, it depends on too many things. I use Turnagy batteries

They are Proline Mashers. Thing is they are 3.2 wheel size, not 3.8. They will fit on a Traxxas wheel, but it a little bit more work to get them to glue on.

I've had the summit for a while now been wanting to go brushless and i guess my big question to you is mamba or vxl?? and what lipo brand do you use???. Been working on a video with my flux and e revo brushless edition but its much harder than people think or more like time consuming. Love the vids keep'em going bud!! pls respond and as always great job!

I have had both in mine. I liked the Mamba, but it isn't waterproof. If you are never going to get it wet, that is the way to go. I went to the vxl because it is waterproof. It is a must to put 2 vxl setups in there. The don't have enough torque to run that big of a truck by themselves. I did a video on how to do it called "Twin VXL Summit, how too". Either way it is about the same price as a Mamba setup. I use Turnagy lipos from Hobby King, I love them.

Jetlag and I put two in there because the VXL is fast, but does not have a lot of torque. We wanted to have something brushless and waterproof so we could run lipos in it. I can't stand running nimh packs.

Take the price of the stock Summit, add 300 bucks for motors, 80 bucks for tires and wheels, and another 40 for the body.

Sweet run!!! Are you running the lights from the stock summit setup, or are they running from both esc's in a circuit or just one? I have a twin-V emaxx and have a light set i wanna hook up to it.

You plug the lights into the aux slot on the receiver.

@n78422 Get some large balloons from the party store. Roll 'em on to your batteries. Then take 'em off after each run and store your batteries in a large ziploc bag of rice - that'll pull any moisture off.

Thanks, I don't get much time to go play so I keep it all handy so I can just grab and go. I use Turnagy lipos, and I guess my favorite RC is either the Summit, or the E-Revo Brushless Edition, maybe the Slash 4x4, or the Mini E-Revo, maybe my RC8E, or the SC10. Tough to decide.
