I know that this critique is pretty much two years late, but whatever. I liked it, man. It told the story pretty well and told it in a coherent fashion. However, the lip syncing was a bit dodgy at points, and the few angles of you playing guitar got a little bit stale after a while.

Also, while you did a great job matching the video with the lyrics, I feel that you could have done a better job of matching the video percussively, if that makes any sense.

I am very well aware of how stale the singing and guitar gets. I threw them in hastily trying to get the video finished because I didn't have a lot time to submit the video for the contest. However, I'm not as familiar with this percussive idea. Do you mean rhythmically matching scene changes to the song?

flowers can make things emo, or increase the emo level, but it really depends on the circumstances.

well... i kind of did, right at the end, during the dissolve from me singing "shout it out" to the wounded soldier, it fades during "out" so that it ends with the soldier screaming "OUT!"

it was very rushed. all of the guitar, indoor, and military scenes were filmed in the course of just a couple of days, and i had a struggle trying to get it all edited in time (skipped school).

yea, i can see what you mean... but i purposely tried to make it ALMOST repetitive... you know... boarderline, so it just seemed fammiliar. like i didn;t use identical scenes from the beginning, i changed them a bit to resemble flashbacks.
