Some people get it, some people don't. I got it. I liked the originality of his work, the sentimentality in Manhattan and the warmth of Annie Hall. Neither are all-out comedies more films with romantic, dramatic and comedic elements. Things such as Bananas is purely comedy and Love & Death is a philosophical satrical comedy. Don't worry, it's just not for you.
