i really want one! cus i cant play a guitar for crap, but it looks symiliar to guitar hero right? i can play that well so do you reckon i might be able to play this?
being able to play this thing would still take musical ability, which guitar hero does not instill. Guitar hero is entertaining, but nothing like playing a real instrument.
There is a joystick which you can use to affect the MIDI pitch & modwheel, or any other CC message you wish to control.
I don't find it as tactile as bending a string, the best controller joystick I have used for this has to be the wooden Nord Pitch stick which was actually constructed with the mechanism as found in Swedish fighter plane joysticks.
Fortunately on the Ztar there is also a pressure sensitive strip running along the top of the neck, this is a lot more responsive for bends.
i wanna get a midi/synth guitar but can only realistically afford the yamaha ez/ag thingy i was wondering can you play the yamaha ez/ag like you do this one you know 2 hands pushing down the buttons (instead of strumming as well) anyone know?
I had an EZ-AG for a while and if you want to set it up to play like a Ztar in poly mode, then you have to use some custom scripts. Do a search for kvraudio and EZ-EG scripts or message me privately for details.
Bear in mind that you'll never get the fully expressive capability as a Ztar due to the non-velocity sensitive buttons on the EZ series.
Hey Myles! Awesome! That looks fun.
