How To Edit Photographs in Pixelmator For the Mac

Does anybody know if the user interface color can be changed from its default black background to another color? The shiny display of the Mac, coupled with the black background behind the gadget boxes, makes it very hard to see the options, because my anything from my white shirt, the window behind me, and the lights in the house are all shining back at me as they are reflected off the damn display. It would help to have grey gasget boxes rather than pitch black.

how do you create paths like in photoshop with the pen tool?

the most important and essential thing about photoshop isn't coloring or video or whatsoever, but "selecting"

there doesnt seem to be too many of path creating tools in this software

thats like you can only do 30% of what you can do in the photoshop,

not being all picky here but Im wishing to find an inexpensive alternative that actually does proper selecting functions

I own Photoshop Extended and use GIMP a lot, but when it has what I need (usually) I prefer using the $60 Pixelmator to edit graphics, because it opens in about 3 seconds, and quick and easy to work with.

You know, you got a point.

Acorn, Pixelmator, Paintshop Pro, GIMP, and Photoshop are all pretty darned great (in order of ascending usefulness).

The best fights break out over GIMP vs Photoshop though. :)
