They get on well with Metallica, but keep in mind that Metallica started as Thrash Metal - a "metal" genre heavily anchored in Punk overtones.

Getting back on point, Motorhead is Rock 'n' Roll proper. I'm glad Lemmy doesn't call the band a Metal band. They are better than that.
