Fox News only care about getting a lot of viewers to get a lot of money from adds and republican donations. They achieve this by only presenting one side of the news and by twisting information to fit their sponsors (republicans) reality.
If Fox News really were upset about bias news organizations they would not just take the opposite view, but they would try to be an example of how the media should present the news by taking no side by just telling people what the facts are without telling them what they "mean" or what the viewers should think about the information presented to them.
"Balancing things out" would not be a good argument for what Fox News are doing even if what they say about the other news channels were true. The news are supposed to be fair and balanced and based on facts and reasonable criticism, something Fox News does not deliver.

The fact that Fox is trying to balance out other news networks says that they in themselves are not balanced. A news network should not be designed so that you must watch them AND other news networks to be able to get a picture of the news.
I used to work in mainstream media for 15 years so I know what goes on inside.
Today with the internet and books, I do not believe everything mainstream media has to say because newsmen and journalists are biased and can easily be bought. I surf the internet for news by going into govt websites and sites such as these.
You have to get your facts from different sources to discern what is truth, BS or propaganda. Obviously Fox, CNN, etc only give you a biased or small part of the entire story

Bad teeth is mostly false - we just don't use whiteners so much so our teeth just appear worse. Dentistry is more privately handled than the rest of healthcare - it is very hard to get to see an NHS dentist, which is a fault in our system. It's not perfect, but I do like how we all have equal access, rich and poor alike.

If Fox News really were upset about bias news organizations they would not just take the opposite view, but they would try to be an example of how the media should present the news by taking no side by just telling people what the facts are without telling them what they "mean" or what the viewers should think about the information presented to them.

I used to work in mainstream media for 15 years so I know what goes on inside.
Today with the internet and books, I do not believe everything mainstream media has to say because newsmen and journalists are biased and can easily be bought. I surf the internet for news by going into govt websites and sites such as these.
You have to get your facts from different sources to discern what is truth, BS or propaganda. Obviously Fox, CNN, etc only give you a biased or small part of the entire story

The Fox News guy said Obama gets "glowing media coverage." The media have been hardasses on him and have blamed him for everything. I wish the press had been this critical of the government during the Bush years. Sarah Palin is the one getting glowing media coverage. Despite having accomplished very little and not even finishing her four years as governor, she's been the biggest media darling since the 2008 election.

@islandmuffin Michael Moore in his film "Capitalism a Love Story" talks about Democrat culpability in the housing bubble, and Cenk on TYT regularly talks about how unwise it is to gamble 15x your total assets and the other bad things banks were/are doing, he obviously cares a lot about it because he's spent literally hours on the subject. They even had Ron Paul on who gave his views about government borrowing and spending, it was a very good interview.
No true liberal should be bipartisan.

State healthcare is the MOST dangerous type of socialism, where government has control over its citizen’s lives, with the power to make “health” decisions for its flocks of sheep, living in welfare zoos. The new Obamacare costs may bankrupt the USA before the Keynesian Social Security and Medicare pyramid schemes.
More efficient government includes less military spending and localized taxes for police, not Federal.

@islandmuffin I understand where you're coming from, but my own experience of UK healthcare makes me disagree that it's inefficient or is used in a dangerous way. Bad teeth is mostly false - we just don't use whiteners so much so our teeth just appear worse. Dentistry is more privately handled than the rest of healthcare - it is very hard to get to see an NHS dentist, which is a fault in our system. It's not perfect, but I do like how we all have equal access, rich and poor alike.

@strakha0 Easy to understand economics: Government CANNOT create wealth. It can only TAKE wealth from producers and creators. Therefore, for government to grow, the private economy must shrink. In other words, for Government to spend more (deficit spending), you must spend less.
One nation needs to retain its free market engine; therefore, if you want to keep your socialist healthcare you do not want Obamacare.

Also it makes no sense that these people are deprived of cheap tests that can prevent serious complications later in life, which ultimately puts the state in a position where they have to deal with it when it becomes life threatening.
Finally, I would argue that there is no difference between private healthcare in the US and the UK. Anyone can choose to pay.

This is why primates are not seriously affected by their version of HIV, when in the past it is likely that it was as deadly to them as it is to us. When socialism is taken further than it needs to be it is harmful, I just disagree that the tipping point is healthcare, while army and police is somehow fine.
Time will tell, but I doubt Obama will destroy the free market. If he does, it will be immediately obvious, quickly corrected and we'll learn from our mistake (I hope).

@islandmuffin Incidentally though private healthcare still exists in the UK, so you can always pay to go private if you wish to skip a wait time for a non-urgent surgery. Wait times for GP's and A&E are very reasonable, so it's not necessary for that, or for serious health issues because they are prioritised anyway.
Are smear tests and regular GP checkups carried out for free in the US? The UK system saves some money through preventative measures such as those.

Europe (and Canada) is a parasite that relies on medical innovations created by the free market. Take away the profit incentive, and you have just condemned all of humanity to less new medical technology and drugs.
The US is already too socialized. The solution is more free market insurance and less welfare.
Wealth creates a need for defense spending; so on the good side, Obama’s attack on wealth creation will make the US economy feebler and less envious.

Medical advances are made in the UK all the time, and new scientific papers regularly get published which are shared with our US friends.
