This song is actually called "Hell Bent for Lederhosen". Heinerklingle is the other song that was played on the northern Europe track. As someone else said, this song creeped me out when I was a kid playing this game, Heinerklingle is a much happier tune :)
Strange how some things just stick in your head - I haven't thought about this game in about 8 years, but suddenly this song just popped back into my head last week. A little YouTubing later, and here I am again :)
@briani4735263 Yeah, that happens to me when I hear PS1 games' soundtracks, specially Need for Speed and Gran Turismo ones... I read the title and have no idea of the song, but the first 10 seconds make a movie play on my mind...awesome feelings!
This is not northern europe (sweden, norway, finland). Looks more like central europe (bavaria, swiss-->alps). Heiner is an very old german prename from the middle age (almost similar to "Heinrich"). Klingle is the sound of a bell (bells are famous for this area because cows wear bells around their necks). The meaning of the name "Heiner" is homeland. So heinerklingle means something like "the sound of the homeland". Especially in Hell Bent For Lederhosen you have this folk instrumental part.
@zonda01 I always wondered why sometimes I'd find 2 versions of the same songs. One would be a certain length, and the other would be longer with different parts, and the sequence of the music would be in different orders as well. Ugh, and here I was all these years thinking I had all the music from these games when I got it off GH lol.
the NFS3 songs are comlete on the psx version, just play a single race and when you finish it,you can listen the complete song of the track, when you see the race results,if you dont return to the main menu.
The question is, is this absolutely identical to what is in game? I'm trying to seek-and-download every NFS soundtrack, and you have a lot of great stuff. But I haven't played the games in a long time and don't know if your extended versions are the same. Even if they are better, I'm looking for the exact original just because that is the official soundtrack. ;)
from 2:39 its my fav part!!!!

why is that north europe? At the entrance of that funfair is written: "Kinderland"
that's german. But Germany is in Central Europe...
Arnemann90 3 months ago
@Arnemann90 Actually it's "Kinderwelt" :) It is the name of the theme park there ;) Or maybe you have a different version :P

@CherryFrog321 They were mixed up on the in-game playlist. The official album has this track listed as "Heinerklingle."

Okay, hadn't played NFSII in a while. I thought the 'interactive music' started at 3, apparently not.
