  • jesus. now this is beautiful.

  • A once-in-a-lifetime talent. Thank goodness we were graced with it.

  • Lovey song, from an icon.

  • I Love Your Style and Voice. Hope your life was FULL and Happy!

  • What a GORGEOUS VOICE and Song! Thank you!

  • Is it true that Dusty was partial to a bit of muff? fair play to her, so am I.

  • This is only one of her fantastic songs,as she will always be in my heart taken away before her time she will never be forgotten RIP my friend

  • What a beauful song but i think it's italian song

  • @boys5l Io Che Non Vivo. It was performed by Pino Donaggio & Jody Miller at Sanremo in 1965. Dusty was there also and loved the song. I've read that she arranged for English lyrics.

  • Dusty uses her arms in such a beautiful way.

Over a "Decade" since She left us,

and Were still listening to her. You're not gone Dusty-you left Us your music.

  • The tear of the year !!

  • She truly was an angel on loan from heaven.

  • "you dont have to stay forever i will understand..."

no...i wont stay forever...i'll stay for eternity <3

  • she was so gergous. great voice. sorry she is not with us any more.

  • one of my all time favourites was the duet she did Private number

  • to be honest without desrispecting other british females singers she was head n shoulders above ANYother female singer we had in Britain n she was also a Wonderful person everyone in my family Loved her

  • Best performance!

  • my friend carolyn sent me this link and said it would change me or help change me omg it did

  • Taking into account the singer, the score, the undulations, power and passion of the song and singer, this is the best female vocal performance in the past 50 years.

  • WOW! This may be her greatest performance.

  • Not just a great sing, she was a great performer. She had presence.

  • Тази песен ми напомня за детството. Всеки пък, когато я чуя очите ми се насълзяват. Имам чувството, че се пренасям години назад... почти физическо усещане...

  • Ludacris last of a dying breed brought me here

  • Ah 240 p we meet again

  • DUSTY and CHI COLTRANE the two greatest singers ever

  • Dusty the real deal, modern day female singers are weak on every level compared to her

  • Just watched a local theatre production of a tribute to Dusty - her life story. Can't replicate her voice but a great tribute to her talent and unique voice. Thanks to all cast of Gold Coast Little Theatre. A great night.

  • Fucking Excellent!

  • Danielle tells me she loves & needs me often so I told her I would always stay

  • wonderful voice. I can't stop listening this <3

  • Who now has a voice like this ???

  • Just beautiful, such a beautiful voice. So moving she takes your breath away, even now, 40-some years later. I remember seeing her in "16" magazine probably 1967 or 68 - so gorgeous, like a pinnacle. (For all her sensational music, the article was about how she did her eye makeup!) What I don't get is: What is to "dislike" here?

  • @acartee The feminists have struck! Lyrics taken literally...

  • Álomszép!!!

  • i like in this song...................nice

  • si é bella, ma l' originale di Pino Donaggio é molto meglio

  • The best British singer of our time the lady was a legend and very much missed rip dusty x

  • The best female singer of all time. Period.

  • This was the first record I ever had. I think I was 3 or 4. I memorized the "You don't have to say you love" part. My sister was going to smother me. This song was actually my introduction to music. Thanks Dusty, for being the first and best I ever heard!

  • I love her and will never forget her. She was the best.

  • Out of this world.

  • I have always felt blessed that I grew up in the era that produced this music. She is gone and we her generation will follow and the music will die. Such a loss.

  • My all-time favorite female vocalist... nobody even comes close !!

  • awesome

  • Always brings me to tears.....

  • RiP MARY O BRIAN. WE ALLWAYS LOVED YOU.

  • When she was a girl she told the nuns " I'm going to be a singer when I grow up" ... Some of the most gifted human beings know even in childhood what their destiny is... She is and always will be my favorite female vocalist... A fan since I first heard her as a teenage boy in Bakersfield , Ca early 60s

  • God I miss her on TV--one of the 20th centurys finest

  • one of the best white soul singers. some people didnae even notice it wan of the best

  • good singer

  • The ultimate soul singer. What a great voice.

    Dusty RIP.

  • @blackesteyes1962

I agree! She was the ultimate soul singer. I am one Black guy who still enjoy her songs. RIP, Dusty. I miss you...

  • @blackesteyes1962 TOTALLY AGREE, and don't forget chi coltrane---- her and dusty are the greatest ever

  • A great singer singing back in '67. The year I got married. The first time.

  • Dusty - a great artist , a wonderful soulful voice , a great communicator. This is her finest song - may she always been remembered. She brings tears to the eyes with her sincerity.

  • lol the begining is the same as ludacris's song "last of a dying breed"

  • I love the comment from Melononaka 15

  • we all love Dusty we all miss her and thats a fact a beautiful woman and singer classic and mod and fab and ace. x

  • Thumbs up if your tired of people trying to get thumbs up...

  • The fairy godmother of all fag hags!

  • My favorite female singer of all time =D

  • OMG!!! I've heard this song hundreds of times over the years and always loved it, but this is the first time I've seen Dusty on video since I was a little kid back in the '60's when I was too young to appreciate her. The world was fortunate to have been able to witness her gift while she was here, and thank goodness for the technology that preserves it for us and future generations.

  • A classic beauty!

  • Love this song. Thx 4 upload

  • how could anyone not like dusty??

im 16 and i love dusty!!! shes better than any other artist nowdays!!!!

she is unique and has style!!!

    love u dusty!!!!

  • where are you dawn this song means so much

  • Cripes! I am old enough to remember when this song first came out -- it was so long ago! Yet, to me, it is timeless and immortal! I have heard since then many performers, their songs, and many styles and trends of music. Some better than others along the way. But, overall, there have been many wonderful artists and songs. Yes, times change and so does music. But in recent years, it seems to me that the modern music scene is just total crap, with a few exceptions here and there. What's gone wrong?

  • great version.so clear...

  • I love her hand movements !!!

  • The clarity, power, and simplicity of the voice are absolutely stellar... To think that people mourn over screaming chainsmokers in our own time such as Amy Winehouse when truly talented, clean-living women of past generations such as Dusty Springfield are forgotten and neglected.

  • brvo. brvo.

  • There'll never be another voice like this!! R.I.P.

  • We're an independent label trying to make it in this game and the best way to do that is by being more known on youtube. One of the ways we stand out is we help unsigned artists get more fans by uploading their songs for a new fan base

You can change our future with one simple click.

Please thumbs up so other people can see this and check out our channel and comment with feedback if you like, also if you think we could improve.

If you like check the other artists we have over 50 vids up!

    Cheers!

  • @ThisMeansWarRecords don't you dare use great artist to promote today's garbage not even close.i'll support you if their good but you can't compare my era 2 today's garbage.i don't dis crimenate? i just lived the best era in music there ever was and will be

  • @camppage1 I respect your opinion fully but A lot of work is being done to find a range of artists from all genre's and commenting on a wide range of video's can only aid that goal. You act like a musician themselves would take offence to other artists trying to make a name for themselves but if they where in this era they would most likely be attempting the same things.Music of all genre's should be embraced and encouraged by everyone including the artists as music is powerful to everybody.

  • The best version sung by the best singer. I need better words to express how good this is however that is asking a lot of me.

  • Fantastic voice, fantastic singer, much missed.

  • Memories, memories....................she was one of a kind....Maybe Lady Gaga could learn a few things

  • So cute, petite, and Dusty sang such wonderful love songs. Bravissima Bella Donna!

  • Just one word Fabtastic or Fantastic I love it/

  • Dusty Springfield was great!!! What a fantastic voice she had!!! So much emotion!

  • My all time favorite....Timeless....takes me back to my youth in London in the 60's...thank you Dusty.. RIP you are still heard, still loved and still missed...

  • timeless music.

  • The best.

  • @kaffesurrogat Ppl like you are whats wrong with the world

  • @bigtomo69er Wha, why, what have I done?

  • @kaffesurrogat What does somebody's talent have to do with their private life? Can't you just enjoy the music without nasty personal potshots and disrespect for a great artist?

  • @FaerieCrone There is really nothing nasty or disrespectful about being a lesbian! Sheesh.

I made a small pun about someone previous to me who said he liked Springfield but didn't want to comment since there were so many gays with no lifes here.

  • @kaffesurrogat I did not SAY that it was nasty or disrespectful being a lesbian, so don't twist my words.

Perhaps your comment is taken as offensive because of the way it was worded because it wasn't written as a direct reply to the original one? That's why it has so many negatives. It reads as cold and insulting.

  • @FaerieCrone Well, I am cold and heartless, so I didn't care for it. It's not like Springfield will google her name anyway.

  • I think she is amazingly divine in every way!!!!!

  • i love this song she was so amazing :)

  • @peacetrain60 as opposed to how nasty you just were?

  • @peacetrain60 Suck an exhaust.

  • Burberry Porsum. So amazing

  • I great song from a great era in music. I miss you Dusty, and your one-of-a-kind voice.

  • Awwe. This song makes me well up when I sing along to it. I love this song.

  • @ssarryo singing that bad, eh?

  • @brucec43 No.

  • No, I watched nick and norah's infinite playlist

  • "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me" is a timeless magnificent anthem from incredible Dustry Springfield whose gorgeous voice was silky soul at its finest. Love & miss you Dusty & RIP beautiful lady...

  • Magic Voice / great performance - probably the best female singer of the sixties - though my favourite Jackie De Shannon runs her close

  • @oldsupervic Agreed Dusty Springfield & Jackie DeShannon are magical & the finest blue-eye soul singers from the great musical sixties, both went beyond doing so many great things & a youtube fest with either amazing singer is a joy to experience over and over on a regular basis...sadly nobody like them around today!

  • @bradly2007 The only good thing about the current music industry is the we have much better access to

Sixties music - My favourite Dusty song is "That's how heartaches are made" , which I always have to play at least twice!!

  • @oldsupervic Music Industry is bankrupt w/ no ability to promote great music-sadly radio programmers won't play the greats & started in the seventies...thankfully youtube is great access to all those awesome artists radio won't play...stopped listening to radio decades ago & tuning in for a moment find it a pathetic waste...noticed great voice in "Silver Threads" & have everything since! Favorites are "Memphis", "It Begins Again", "White Heat" & "Cameo" thankfully got to see Dusty in Concert!

  • @bradly2007 they do still play a lot of dusty on smooth fm tho...which makes me extremely happy!

  • Absolutely amazing!

  • Love this song! The Boat That Rocked featured it splendidly!

  • God, her voice sends chills up my spine- nobody did it better. Rest in Peace Dusty, the world is a bit less melodious without you.

  • this song should be reinstated in the 500 greatest songs of all time it should never been dropped

  • timeless....x

  • Dusty Springfield - You Don't Have To Say You Love Me; Because sometimes you want to feel sad. Peace and loveX

  • great beautiful evergreen song...tks for uploading!

  • What a hauntingly beautiful voice!

  • Oh yeah ! Great and nostalgic song. Thanks for uploading.

  • 1 of the Greatest of all time...

  • always gives me goose bumps

  • janzatart, how right you are in the 60's,my mother always said they're was something wrong about that girl, but I used to argue it's about her songs that will live on

  • great music from dusty everything she sang, she sang well , my mum played her music all the time. my mum had the same hair does and eyes, dusty passed away from breast cancer complications ,Dusty passed on in her home in the uk ,lets leave it at that cheers to all.

Miss Springfield died of complications relating to HIV-AIDS at the Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. She was a fisting top and refused to use gloves despite the entreaties of her sexual health professionals. Miss Springfield was a trailblazing lemon and was very proud of her unsafe sexual behaviour and promiscuity. May she Rest In Pieces.

  • @janzatart total crap

  • @janzatart Where did you get your information ???? Read Authorized Autobiography "Dancing with Demnos" by Penny Valentine Journalist in the 60-80's inner circle friend of Dusty she also died 2004 Breast cancer age 59 same as Dusty also helped by Vicki Wickham Dustys life long manager. Lots of input by Dusty herself she wanted the truth out !

  • wheres the mothers pride ad gone, and the "is it me or gene pitney"?

  • Miss Springfield died of complications relating to HIV-AIDS at the Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. She was a fisting top and refused to use gloves despite the entreaties of her sexual health professionals. Miss Springfield was a trailblazing lemon and was very proud of her unsafe sexual behaviour and promiscuity. May she Rest In Pieces.

  • @sovereign87 My I suggest you read Dusty's AUTHORIZED autobiography "Dancing with Demons" written by Penny Valentine (died 2002 age 59 Breast cancer also) along with Vicki Wckham dusty's life long friend/manager. Dusty Died in England at HOME of Breast Cancer with her friends beside her .

She was a very heavy smoker/drug user and because of her inner pain inflicted self inflicting wounds, also many visits to American and English mental Institutes, all gay relationships ended in Violence.

  • @sovereign87 Dusty Springfield was truly a deep inner pain with her private life and was truly happy when singing wether in the studio or live. R.I.P. never forgotten.

  • @sovereign87 really?? try reading her authorized biography before spreading such vulgar lies. & i assume you meant "trailblazing lesbian", not "trailblazing LEMON"?? geesh...

  • the world is a sadder place .

    what a voice. soul

  • Dr. Who?

  • @johnnyfarout William Hartnell was a good man

  • Thanks 4 posting! Dusty was one of the greatest powerhouse voices it history!!!!!

  • Her voice is so hauntingly beautiful even more so today!

  • her voice is of such unique quality. she's unforgettable

  • @1066gull The ironic part is that Doctor Who is an even older reference than this song.

  • I have not heard better. She's s angel

  • does anyone know the rap song that has this intro? i'd really like to know :)

  • I never needed Doctor Who to know this awesome 60s pop star

  • the great italian melody.......

  • why would anybody dislike this?

  • Her grace on stage is second to none.

  • The Doctor could probably take us back to this very performance!

  • thanks to Dr. Who this is now one of the creepiest songs ever, still love it tho, everyone download it Sunday night

  • Rebel Flesh as well!! Loved the song, didn't know the singer offhand.

  • 高校生の時に凄く気に入ってました。後からプレスリーで有名になりましたが私にとってはこの人の歌でしか頭に入っていません。

  • Thumbs up if Dr. Who DIDN'T sent you here!

  • You needed Doctor Who to send you to this gem?

  • @halfaddict Everyone has to hear it for the first time somewhere.

  • @BlackMonk66 not quite sure what to make of your post.she was bi-sexual-so what?i was 14 and was gonna marry her....aint testosterone a bummer.broke my adolescent heart when my sister took great pleasure telling me she was a lesbian.so what happened to dying of breast cancer?you obviously knew her better than me

  • @janzatart Not sure what post of mine you're referring to, since the last couple of things I posted her had to do with Doctor Who. Anyway, yes, she died of breast cancer. As for her sexuality, I'm just taking her word for it. She never said she was anything other than bisexual and I think it's a matter of simple respect not to claim that she was lying when that's impossible to prove. After all, no one can go into her mind and say she was or wasn't attracted to men.

  • @janzatart Besides, you were probably too young to get married then.

  • dr who :p i'm actually considering buying her album after listening to this track

  • Doctor Who DID send me here!!! Wow! The song is beautiful.

  • Thumbs up if Dr. Who sent you here.

And this song now creeps the crap out of you because of it.

  • This was on Doctor Who tonight :)

  • @JadesVidz that episode seriously freaked me out cant wait for the second part :D

  • @JadesVidz yea, it was coming through the pipes. RORY: "I hear Dusty Springfrield."

  • Talent and taste - missing from much of today's music.

  • great song great woman

  • Beautiful

  • Love her hand jive.

  • Please bring back Dusty in exchange for Lady Gaga and all the teen-boppers!!!! I'm begging you to come home, Dusty!!!

  • @nhwati79 unless she haunts us. seeing passed away in 99. just over month from 60th birthday. but lady gaga is bad. yes closet singer to dusty now is duffy

  • Bravissima!!!! Mamma mia, che bella voce e che bella perfomance!!!!!!

  • I love both Dusty Springfield and Patsy Cline. You cannot compare the two as they had totally different styles; both unique and distinctive styles. We should be grateful.

  • Thanks a lot, sweet Dusty. Thank you for all your sweetness, monstruous voice and never ending charisma...
