Any political system can work if its citizens are enlightened. The woes of modern society aren't capitalism's fault. People had the liberty to loan from the banks. How bad can liberty be? What's wrong is that these people have no understanding of financial instruments. I say, why don't we bring back the age of enlightenment?

Democracy has been equated to freedom. Freedom is Slavery. A Republic if you can keep it. Was what was bestowed on the American people. Now I'm sure it too is not remembered,or not understood. Democracy is perfect for citystates like Athens where everyone gets special treatment and education. I prefer Monarchy in an overpopulated world.

Democracy is based on VOTE that means MINORITIES still suffer SOCIAL STIGMA. The real freedom comes in Anarchy where there is only one rule survival of the fittest whether majority or minority. Anarchy Forever!!!

Anarchy would be great if we ended up with communities making decisions by consensus, but the reality is that they would have no way to protect themselves from mob rule and criminal gangs until they created another government to organize this.

Even still, wouldn't a consensus decision still be like many different democracies? It's money itself that creates this distortion in society by race gender religion and social class. So the only way for us to perpetuate as harmoniously as possible, is to somehow abolish money and government in general. I said somehow, I didn't say it was possible or impossible. Government in general does not work because money in general does not work, because money creates a distortion in society where everyone gets greedy over things. If there was no money, there would be no greed. It is not a system that has been thought of yet, but perhaps maybe someday, someone will invent a new way to run a civilization.

It's true, something like 50% of Americans actually vote. That's really bad. But aren't knew technologies going to make life more democratic anyway? RE: CNN + Youtube Democratic debate. People lost interest cos they weren't heard? Now through technology they can be heard and society is adjusting to that - isn't it?
