  • this is very formal and all but its not very effective when you have to do it 400 or 600 times when working commercialy......when im working i put it through the line through the mantel and hook it too the head with a lightstick in the mantel and you cut a small hole in the mantel to make the light visable. this can be done in the matter of 2 mins if your really slow compared to doing surgery on your bait

  • I have tried this method and i cant seem to keep the bait to stay on the bottom whilst trolling the bait seems to surface even at low speed can anybody give me some advise on how to prevent the bait from surfacing. Even using a weight attached 2 feet away from the bait all it seems to do is surface what am i doing wrong??? PLEASE HELP ME:(:(:(:(:(:(

  • there are way easier ways to rig squid, and other baits for swordfish, but this an effective method.

  • listen barabas1037 you have no idea what you are talking about! darren dorris is the world's smartest man...not to mention the sexiest. he can sink his head through my mantle any time love ya darren

  • thanks but no thanks. i just want to fish, i dont want to be a tailorist.

  • I feel educated/good show

  • thread the hook down the top of the mantel to the head, you dont even need to use the stopper crimp.tie it to the main line above the mantels tip with 4 half turns on the main line and then bait needle the top of the mantel and tie off. quick n easy than having all thoes human smells all over it

  • thanks mate, a lot of good info
