  • SO EXCELLENT

  • Great tour I saw this line up and they were so great in early 1983! Anything Stevie does is ok with me! She has great solo work like Bella Donna and etc...

  • I could just put this song on loop and listen for hours!

  • Oh this woman can blow me away

  • NICKS WOMAN !!!!

  • Stevie and Lori must have gotten along VERY well! They toured together, and Lori - her husband (Stevies brother) Christopher and their daughter Jessica - also live with her! I suppose she wasn't there very often! And probably when Chris and Lori divorced, this is the reason why Stevie sold the house! Lori should have started her own singing career just like Marilyn Martin!

  • Absolute perfection :) I love you Stevie <3

  • i'm crying for you stevie. i feel your pain. your mother is an angel and you hold all the keys...blanket you with love

  • sweet dreams stevie,how's Lindsey.B.doi'ng these day's?

  • I love Stevie, she's has so much talent. she is a true artist.

  • I dunno I think I could watch those two over ane over .. Amazing Together!!! I'd still opt fer the Blonde though lol

  • This has to be the best performance of all times... Class act... flowing with best songwriter singer ever in music history.

  • I always have said, if I could be reincarnated, I'd want to be Stevie Nicks. So beautiful and such an awesome singer.

  • so pretty...

  • This song sums up my senior year of highschool

  • Love, love, love this woman! Stevie Nicks is the coolest woman in music.

  • And what's more what a high quality backing band she had - think I spotted Waddy Watchtell, Bill Payne, Russ Kunkel and Bob Glaub, all top top session players at that time!

  • Just beautiful! So glad I was able to see this Queen of Rock perform 21 times.

  • she sure both look and sounds like a goat

  • @SKIILEE I would say your mother looks like a goat, but that would be an insult to the goat.Go listen to a no talent singer lady ga ga,you moron

  • @SKIILEE well i see you dond know your music that well your the goat haha

  • I Love this more every time i hear it - Why oh why do we get force fed x-factor and the like . none of them will last

  • lady gaga is already fading away from the public scene. Just cant imagine her being around in say 7 or eight years. Long live Stevie.

  • What happens when the divine spirits connect the souls of a regal queen with an ethereal angel? Stevie Nicks

  • I love this music

  • I wonder if she still has the same back-up singers. I loved this era of her music. I wore out my Bella Donna album. She's so beautiful!

  • @skylilly1 she still has Lori as a backup singer saw her play this week! :)

  • @skylilly1 Yes, she does, skylilly1...Lori looks pretty much, um, not the same now, has had too much cosmetic work, but Sharon is beautiful as always and I can never remember the name of the blond who often does back up for Stevie. But yeah, they're with her and Waddy, her guitarist, has been with her since the 60's during her Fritz days.

  • @skylilly1 Lori Nicks and Sharon Celani still sing background for Stevie and Fleetwood Mac as well.

  • 11 IDIOTS LIKE RAP INSTEAD.

  • solid gold

  • love love love this performance!!!

  • @kwanda53 Totally agree...this is incredible

  • is this from solid gold?

  • @9693297602 it is from snl

  • its good to revisit classic stevie.... after such a disappointing 2011 album

  • @riggstwenty2 I dont think anything Stevie does is disappointing, more a case some things are just awesomely brilliant instead of just great . I doubt any of todays artists will be living icons 40 years down the line - They don't make them like Ms Nicks anymore

  • @dishywinnie ....absolutely agree, stevie is an icon... but as for the new album, there are only maybe four tracks that cast that unique spell. I miss those cryptic little mysteries that wove their way into her songs, remember sable on blonde ? fireflies ? battle of the dragon ? I know people get older and things change... but half the songs on in your dreams are really only average.... and dave stewart sucks as a producer/songwriter...... and no disrespect to ms nicks intended

  • @dishywinnie You are 1000% percent right, there will never be anyone like Stevie ever again.

  • @TheEarl666 I didn't know Stevie a month ago. Now I've listened each of her six first solo albums about three times. And she's the best artist I've ever heard.

  • @TroubleinBellaDonna You are someone that knows True Talent when they see it

  • @TheEarl666 And Lindsey Buckingham is not bad either. I've listened to the album Buckingham Nicks on Sunday afternoon and it's brilliant. In a few days it'll be the first album by Fleetwood Mac with Stevie.

  • @dishywinnie Or Debbie Harry...She's still a class act....And don't forget Chris McVie :)

  • @FutureGamesPresents oh gosh yes cant forget Chris Mcvie - they where a winning combination in fleetwood mac . i loved Debbie Harry as well , one of many who sang into a hairbrush to her

  • @dishywinnie Stevie is a GODDESS

  • You can really hear how powerful Stevie's voice is against her sister in laws. Just an amazing woman.

  • Gail Hadarits an Tonya Hill Causey , The last huuuraaa @ FLAMING SALLY"S , Carlton was awesome to ask us for the last song for the club.....

  • im sorry sister in law:) thanks for that info:)

  • GREAT DUET BY TWO SISTERS I NEVER KNEW THAT STEVIE HAD A SISTER? BUT I MUST SAY HER SISTER LORI CAN SURELY SING FOR SURE GREAT JOB STEVIE AND LORI NICKS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:):)

  • @MegaJoker1967 Sister-in-law.

  • Awesome

  • Too bad this version isn't available for download, just the LP version, they are way different, love this version, Does anyone know a way to download this version to an iphone or just to a computer?

  • Stevie Nicks is a beautiful white bird with an amazing voice! It is no wonder why she sold over 80 million copies. She deservers every penny for bring us the best entertainment! Her voice is so appealing and sexy! Never a boring moment to listen to her sing! This Night Bird song is my favoriate! Edmondo (etsonggalaxy)

  • @ETsonggalaxy You are someone who can recognize true talent.Stevie is the Greatest and most beautiful human being on earth!

  • It biggles the mind,to try and figure out why,so many great songs and especially artists never get the recognition they truely deserve,Performances as this never sink in,,My other beef is with the Music Hall of famers,How in the world could they ever not put Knights In White Satin and the Moody Blues in,The Only band from that era, still on tour, producing music thru all the eras? Ray Thomas has retired,Justin still the group together and on tour,Wake Up Hall Of Fame !!! What A Shame

  • Luv this awesome song and the live performance...too bad, so far, 11 DEAF mutes disliked it.

  • I love this

  • this song reminds me of Aaliyah my grand daught my little lovey I miss her

  • Why is it,that when there comes along, a Very Special and Beautiful song, sung by two Very Beautiful Ladies,Yes sharon Celani Too!!That its never put on dvd or music disc?why are we constantly being subjected to garbage and forced to buy only that??,,Stevie,If You ever happen to read this, wishfu thinking I know, but I hope that down the road,You might consider doing this song once more, and putting it on a dvd for us!! LR,

  • @nylononly I totally agree with your comment, this song will definitely go over the top if performed during her tours now and of course putting it on dvd or cd.

  • @nylononly i totally agree with you two beautiful ladies singing a beautiful & touching song

  • I always have liked tholder Steve tunes...she always gets close o her singers, though...is it a 'in the feeling' of the song, or did she have relationships with them, too....somebody enlighten me, please...thanks!

  • @alisterfolson she's blind as a bat and doesn't always wear her contacts on stage. those eyes may be beautiful but they're relatively useleass.

  • Did not know Stevie had a sister, especially one that sings great.

What a duo. Great video, song, and performance.

  • @lionssong2525 = actually, it's her sister-in-law

  • WOW

  • 芦田愛菜ちゃんよりかわいいな、ほんまの話

  • I love this song. A lot.

  • what a beauty

  • i am sorry but , I go right back to my youth and jus

t want to see them kisss~:)

  • wow....its pretty good ...not bad at all ...thanks for posting this vid

  • @manoman5067589261 I think it's better than the studio version.

  • She was and still is so beautiful - I had the honor to see her in Houston a couple of weeks ago and she looked incredible and sounded even better!! Wow what a treat it was since I have never seen her before & I have loved her since she was with Buckingham Nicks whan I was 15 & now I am 50 - my husband surprised me with great tickets!!

  • only heaven could come up with voices like stevie & lori's..truly two earth bound angels when their voices are combined...!!!!

  • she lifts u to a new hight inspiers our sol love itXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  • Stevie, do the one's who walk away with their capes pulled around them tight still come to haunt you? Just like the white-winged dove does?

  • Lori is a very pretty lady too.

  • I guess I feel the need to post another here, and yep, it'll be another one offering praise for Stevie Nicks and the band she created. I, like many, was swept away the first time I saw her perform Rhiannon with those blonde bangs hanging over her eyebrows. I bought most of her solo albums. But it's only now I'm appreciating the absolute gift this woman is to us, with her unique voice, songsmithing, and beauty. Incomparable on so many levels. Thank you, Stevie!! God be with you.

  • @TruthLibertyNow Nicks didn't create Fleetwood Mac. She definitely changed it, though.

  • Why can't there be music like this on the radio nowadays?

  • out of all, yes all videos of stevie nicks--this is the best graphic quality and fav song.

  • I don't know why but this song make me happy

  • Interrupt the day...put yourself"""# 1""" on your list of things to do....Day dreaming underneath the purple rose you gave me,I will fly like the wind once again...I love this song..I was 19 years old when she came out with this...Today i'm 47 and it make no difference at all...I still sing at night♥

  • I love stevie&Lori..and jessi too...she is so sexy@ JESSI.. nicks!..IF SHE READS THIS i am a virgin..your aunt steive has helped how i feel about myself by listening to her...sing since 1996..thank you stevie

  • I AM A VIRGIN

  • @SELFproclaimedVIRGIN: NNNNUH!

  • Stevie is great in this video. Of course these were a part of her cocaine years, and you can see her nod out in the middle of the video, her head goes down and she looks like she's nodding out and all coked up! hahahaha Thank God she didn't end up like Janis or Amy W. How did she do it? Years and years of drugs? And no overdose. Thank God she went to rehab... (Personally, I like my rock stars to be good and doped up, but only if they got a handle on it, if that makes sense.)

  • @YesWeTan I believe that one was Sharon Celani

  • First time I'm seeing this. I was 23 in '83 and not watching much TV, let alone Solid Gold. But Stevie has, unlike many "divas" before or since, always captured our hearts and minds with her talent and beauty. I'm 50 now and seeing this for the first time, and am struck speachless by this performance. I read somewhere this was a last minute thing to do the duet with Lori Perry-Nicks. Stevie has always been beautiful to watch, but I admit I am abolutely smitten with Lori here. No better duet!

  • @TruthLibertyNow This was not Solid Gold, it was Saturday Night LIve. I remember it clearly. And I guess everyone knows that Lori Nicks, her duet partner, is the husband of her brother Chris. Thus the Nicks name will live on through procreation...

  • @joeyT108 Thank God for that! She is awesome in Concert i saw her in 1982 83 and 97 she was so awesome in 82 with FM and that top hat. I got a great photo of her with colored lights on her white dress. Such a angel.

  • @joeyT108 Hey Joey...SuperFleetwoodMAC has this same video uploaded in HQ along with the Solid Gold intro from the Solid Gold hostess. I doubt that was a splice. Possible these two airings coincided close to each other and maybe even included the same wardrobe. According to SG hostess Stevie made a "rare" TV appearance for this. Either way, very well choreographed with Lori!

  • Man her Sister Can Sing Too!!~<3~

  • @TheMagicsMist It's her sister-in-law, her brother Christopher's wife. Thus the Nicks name. Lori Nicks.

  • her voice is so powerful!~

  • @YesWeTan Good one.

  • @YesWeTan Lori Nicks is Stevie's sister-in-law. He maiden name is Lori Perry. She was married to Stevie's brother Chris. Stevie has been close friends with Lori since the early '70s.

  • hermosa Stevie te amo.......

  • Cocaines a hell of a drug

  • Stevie's studio version hit #33 in Billboard, 1-28-84. Who knew that Stevie's sister could sing so well? God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a great week!

  • Is this available on a DVD. Its so good must have been a great concert.

  • Oh my god, it sounds like a goat.

  • Actual real singing (and so enchantingly done too) on a show known for having it's musical guests lip synch - you show then all how it's done Stevie! Love ya! Kudos as well to Lori - the blending of voices is sublime.

  • This is one of my very favorite singers, of all time. And that's saying a lot. Her's is a very unique voice. Her's is an exceptional beauty. Her writing is waaaay above most artist's. Her place in my heart not only goes back a ways, it is enormous. One truly great talent, this lady is. And, this is one of her best songs. And that's saying a lot.

  • EPIC!!!!!

  • This is actually from January 1984, not 1983

I remember watching this on TV

Nightbird hit its chart peak in February 1984

  • Duets don't get much better than this. First heard from a borrowed LP around 1983. Thought Stevie was doing the backing harmonies. Know better now Thank you Lori. xx

  • I wish I had half the drugs Stevie was on when she did this. She can barely keep her eyes open.

  • @OHLeeRedux Coke dont make your eye's close but never mind. Try doin the hour's they did, that'll shut your eye's for you.

  • @rickme48 Who said anything about coke, dickwad? Back to third grade reading class with you. L-L!

  • Pulls back the net and its hard to see her face......... Beautifull song , why she never performs it live often is a shame, its easily up there among her best, Dreams, Sara, Landslide, Gypsy, Rhiannon, Standback, If anyone falls, Talk to me, How still my Love etc.

  • @nwlman you just listed all of my favourite Stevie songs! add 'Fireflies' to that and I would have my perfect sound track to drive to!! peace.

  • @vicrimes oh yeah Fireflies, that is a great song that one would be up there as well, with three more After the Glitter Fades and Thats Alright and Long Distance Winner

  • @nwlman and 'Storms' and 'Silver Spring' - heaven only knows why that song didn't make it onto the Rumours track listing. :-) I'm off to listen to 'That's alright' because I don't think I know it...

  • @vicrimes Thats Alright is from Mirage, the Fleetwood Mac Album she recorded before The Wild Heart, its a good track in the same vein as After the Glitter Fades.

  • My favorite birds...

  • cant get enough off this the most beautiful duo ive ever heard, stevie nicks is the only artist that makes me feel calm, and happy.

  • I HATE WINTER AND I WEAR BOOTS ALL SUMMER LONG~ MESHELSMUSIC~

  • I've always believed that Stevie Nicks is a prophetess, a channeler of voices from other worlds. Sometimes, she seems to shrink back from the sheer power of what she is singing about. Check out the Dicey and Paprika version of "Edge of Seventeen" to grasp what this song is REALLY about!

  • @MrMickeybitzko I have never read it said better. You also share her channel. Luv Stevie Nicks and this song that melts any heart and soul.

  • I AM A VIRGIN

  • The Best!

  • que voces hermosas, melodiosas, transportan......

  • Pure love. My favorite Stevie song! She's influenced so many. You can see Prince, Wendy and Lisa were very inspired.

  • This song plays when u ring the doorbell at the pearly gates

  • If you're singing that close, you'll need some breath mints.

  • Ahhhhh,,,, the godess I first feel in love with!

  • Aaah, Stevie in her prime. This is such a beautiful song and Stevie looks like a beautiful goth goddess singing about creatures in the dark who "walk away..." I love this video. First time I saw it since it was televised in '83. I appreciate it now more.

  • I L O V E LORI's voice on this. Tears at my heart.

  • This video is just so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. She's completely moving no matter what she does. I LOVE YOU STEVIE :)

  • WOW, so stunning. Look at this, 100 per cent professional singing. WOW.

  • I keep coming back to this video in '83 x-mas time. The visuals are sooo stunning. Stevie is just radiant. The dress she is wearing is so goth and totally flatters her. And I love the duet with Lori Nicks, who is Stevie's sister-in-law. This video is so "goth" for me because it is about creatures in the night and Stevie looks so mystical.

DON'T call me out on the "goth" thing. It's my own personal reflection. :-)

  • There are so many beautiful songs Stevie has written, and she sticks to the one's everyone is used to when she is in concert. She should dig further into her catalogue and go for some of her other beautiful songs...

  • Oh my god i love this so much♡

  • And THAT'S why I love Stevie.

  • Lori Nicks and Sharon Celani are just stunnig they comliment Stevie so much

  • Lori Petty,I think?

  • @GOATSNUT Nope Lori is married to Stevie's brother.

  • It's a rare treat, as a Stevieaholic that pristine sound is just as cool as her 85 coke crackled rasp that I love to.

  • Wow never ever seen this one.....very cool!!!!

  • I can't believe Stevie Nicks doesn't sing this song on her tours and performances anymore.. so beautiful and meaningful.. Stevie Nicks Rocks!

  • I am amazed by the sound quality of the video, it's almost studio quality. Excellent video of this great song.

Stevie's voice is one of the most unique, if not the most singular (after Janis Joplin) in the history of rock music.

I love the harmonies of this song, tipically from the 80's. Actually the music of that era was the best.

  • The sound is so good because the only thing live is the vocal mics. The band is miming to the studio track.

  • WHAT AN INCREDIBLE VIDEO.. SO MANY HIDDEN THINGS. KEEP WATCHING OVER AN OVER MANY HIDDEN THINGS. ANY ONE SEE THE EAGLE AND WHERE WAS IT/?

  • AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET US FREE

  • Beautiful beautiful video :)

God how I miss the 80s overprocessed perm hair haha Well, my hair doesn't, but I do ;)

  • Stevie is just amazing!!! Happy to see her stuff where it is. Come hang out at Bella Czar sometime, any friend of Stevie. Very Cool - Bella Czar1

  • Love her big brown eyes So much in there

  • Stevie is my goddess. this performance is chilling

  • she is the only one who inspire your MIND, BODY & SOUL at a high freguency voltage ; it electrify s your love. love YA XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  • Stevie is one in a million! no one even comes close to her in my opinion.... she brought you to a place that few other artists ever could...

  • I love that with Stevie's new album, all of her classic videos are being viewed again. Nice.

  • stevie looks so pretty here...those eyes!!!

  • It's as awesome as when I first saw it on tv. I recorded it on 'tape' and that's since long gone.

This was a great treat. Thanks!

  • Stevie has such a sexy, unique voice ~ pure passion.

  • boots all summer long? Dare I say she suffered from foot odor?

  • @arborealshrew really ? who gives a ____

  • Who disliked this? Seriously.

  • I remember watching this. It is actually from January 1984. This song peaked in Feb 1984 at #32.

  • This video makes me really sad. But it's a wonderful song. It touches you.

  • There's Wally do'in his thing.. he's her corner stone.//guitarist if not with Lindsay.. this is so good GOOD gold Nicks!!/She really works in her mind letting flow as she goes making the patterens fit ... hard and catches it well... that was an interesting time for her and to her you can tell doing what she must have felt was a time for her at last! .. solo . no wonder she named that album Wildheart around then.. it was wild and heartfelt how they sang harmonies !!

  • Wow! Life is good; great song, beautiful women. It doesn't get much better than this. Their harmonies are amazing.

  • Every song Stevie has written is a masterpiece, but this song really stands out. So beautiful and haunting.

  • @KyHazard Agreed !

  • Yum

  • beautiful birds singing together...their innocence shines thru

  • I have a greater appreciation for the music of the 1980s as the years pass. At the time, I kept comparing the current music to the music of the 1960s. And, now, the music of today just pales in comparison to what was happening in the 80s. Funny how that works...

  • @Doleafol You are SOOOOO right!
