My band is playing this song for our spring concert. I think that you sound good but you need more lows. Your tubas need to be really powerful and present. Yes I do play tuba but I have to say that alittle tuba does make a world of difference

:3 I played this back in like 7th or 8th grade! It was my favorite song the whole time I was in middle school. I made a copy of the music sheet and still have it. D: I lost the 2nd sheet but.. :3 still know it by heart. I'm a high school senior now and its still one of my favorite pieces :3

Our band is playing this too... i play snare on this song: for snare in this band- i found it easier to stop about 2 measures on the clavi (sp?) part and so i can get into my solo parts at measure 57 but otherwise i thought it was realy good... haha it kinda freaks me out when i play the ten measure solo though!!!!

for crash cymbals: at the end the crashes were reallly good: possibly a little late but it was great

you honestly have no idea how much I love this piece. It's a trumpet's best friend! Obscenely fun without getting too high. not that I mind the upper registers, but when you're in middle school you just don't have the range of your later highs school years. We got all ones the year we performed this.
