LOL angry $cilon doesn't like being proven his cult is based on a dead science fiction writers ramblings - Well done to those who pay $300,000 to hear a story about Xenu the space alien XD
I see mentally ill patients every day, and we try to establish what brought on the onset of their current condition (i.e. the reason for their current hospitalization), as well as what might be responsible for their chronic mental illness (if such exists). Most of the time these people are going to have to live their entire lives with their condition (which a lot of them do not even realize they have!) The symptomatic treatment is to improve their quality of life!!!
Have you ever heard of "The Axes of a Diagnosis" that are used in psychiatry? There are 5 of them in total, 3 of them are specifically geared towards the CAUSES of the mental illness that the patient is suffering with! Axis 1 - the diagnosis, axis 2 - a personality disorder (if present) that may be the source/affect of the diagnosis, axis 3 - any other medical condition that could affect the diagnosis, axis 4 - the stressor that induced the current diagnosis, axis 5 - GAF score.
I still believe in the principles of scientology and when I saw this my basic reaction when I saw the title of this was oh my god what a complete load of crap. After watching however I feel slightly differently. First of the guy himself seem like a really nice person. This didn't really change my feelings about what he actually said. He seems to have very little idea of what he is talking about. Everything he said began with a maybe. I wish him the best of luck.
@DaronRyanAustralia LOL Yes of course the writings of a science fiction writer who lied about his college degree and created the story of Xenu and dead aliens in volcanoes makes much more sense than psychiatry doesn't it.
Hang on.... i hear the empty soup cans, sorry i mean "E-Meter" calling you.... LOL XD
@tryandlisten If you are really convinced you understand what scientology is about from reading the internet, which is most likely all you have ever done, then all I can say is enjoy your blissful ignorance. If you think Xenu is funny why don't go on wikileaks and dowload OT8 or the forged OT8 as the CofS claims. It ought make you giggle like mad.
@DaronRyanAustralia Ok well if you are not convinced by FBI transcripts and reports about $cientology's illegal activities, thousands of court documents and judgements against $cientology, thousands of collaborated reports and evidence about the cults illegal practices, dozens of clips on YouTube of "clear" $cientologists abusing people then I'm not the blissful ignorant one. @tryandlisten Well if you like psychiatry so much why don't you try some good old fashioned 1950's style methods and mash up the front of your brain with an ice pick. Duh, sorry I just realised you have already tried. That explains why you think I care about about ethics trouble talking to SPs. SP normally SP stands for suppressive person but in your case it just means stupid punk. Who are you anyway? Do you have a real name or is that too much for you?
@DaronRyanAustralia ah the good old $cientology bullbaiting & "The DEFENSE of anything is UNTENABLE. The only way to defend anything is to ATTACK" (direct quote of L Ron Hubbard "The Scientologist: A Manual on Dissemination of Material," Ability, March 1955, pp. 54-55) - This is my final statement to you $cilon - Nothing you can say to me can intimidate or offend me, because the fact remains, Im not the one paying thousands of dollars to hold to empty soup cans, you are. Good luck with that LMAO
@tryandlisten Well if you don't want to be offended why don't you mind your own business. Noone invited you to make comment about what I had to say. You just had to make your unprovoked attack. @ellillydope And obviously what CAUSES the symptoms of mental illness is having the ghosts of ancient, murdered space aliens trapped in your body....right?
@ellillydope You sound like any other scientologist. LRH says it's bad so you buy the science fiction writer's bullshit. Where's the SCIENTIFIC proof on scientology. Psychiatry works. Without it, I would probably be dead today. If you don't like it, tough shit.
@prostatetyrant I believe psychiatrist prey on the innocent and gullible people. The drugs they sell them have destroyed so many lives.I have researched many lawsuits and I have a family member who is a victim of psychiatry. It seems very fraudulent and psychiatrists themselves have come out and exposed the industry.
@prostatetyrant Yes America has the most corrupt people on the planet. The majority of corruption comes from the pharmaceutical industry.Extremely scary.
It is a fact. There are no tests in psychiatry and psychiatrists openly admit this. And of course, being able to objectively test an idea is the very definition of science.
You're presented with a very real fact and you just shrug it off and plead ignorance. It's so hilarious and ironic that your comment is an attempt to defend psychiatry. Your comment is the epitome of psychiatry and the "field's" overwhelming lack of rigor.
@sk8teh14 No psychiatric tests, huh? Ever heard of a Rorschach Test? That's just one, of MANY. The problem with $cientology is, is that in the end, they contend that all problems are because of dead space aliens in your body. CUKOOOO!
"Ever heard of a Rorschach Test? That's just one, of MANY."
Unfortunately, I've become susceptible to Poe's law at this point. I would expect the same kind of response from somebody doing satire. You're not serious are you? Please go read an actual science book and take a look at the rigor involved in designing an actual objective test. Your comment is a joke.
And I'm afraid you are pretending this is a dichotomy: "Clearly scientology is bullshit, so therefore, psychiatry *must* be correct since it's the only alternative." This, however, is not how the world works. Scientology and psychiatry can both be equal amounts of bullshit. And that's exactly what has occurred in this case. The fact that scientology is bullshit is not an argument for psychiatry's validity.
@Scientologee The difference between a psychologist & a psychiatrist is that a psychiatrist has the ability to give medicine. Psychiatric medicine treats symptoms. Neither psychiatrists nor psychologists know the root causes of mental illness, but therapy is much less dangerous than drugs.
Just because you understand that $cientologists follow an absurd ideology does not mean you can discount everything they say. They may be extreme when it comes to psychiatry, but they are on the right track.
@Scientologee The diagnostic and statistical manual (DSM) panel which creates the book used to officially "diagnose" patients with mental illnesses bases its diagnoses on symptoms. A patient is diagnosed with a mental illness simply based on a checklist of symptoms. There are no brain scans, no scientific measurements to determine a chemical imbalance in the brain, just lists of symptoms. Psychiatry is very young, and as it stands, it does not follow a scientific rubric by an means.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but in the 1980's when AIDS was beginning to spread rapidly, people actually denied its existence. Instead, they blamed its victims ! That's almost the same thing that's happening with psychiatry right now. While I definitely do not support drug-pushing and over-medication, I do support the recognition of psychiatric illness as real entities,
@jas121a To determine somebody has AIDS, doctors follow diagnostic procedures by testing and ruling out possibilities. This is not the case with psychiatry. As I previously mentioned, psychiatrists use the diagnostic and statistical manual (DSM) which only provides a list of symptoms. If a patient has a certain number of different symptoms then they are "determined" to have a specific disorder. This is not scientific, especially when Big Pharma influences DSM panel members heavily.
@prostatetyrant It seems like u have taken no responsibility for ur actions, & blame it on psychiatry. Why is it that u were depressed in the 1st place? Why did u go to a psych? Why did u take the drugs? Why didn't u just live & learn? Nobody made choices for u, but u. Its time u took some responsibility & stop blaming psyc's for what's happened to u. Just my 2 cents. If drugs are not a cure, and u should have known that going in, right? If U didnt need drugs, fine. Many do, however.
@prostatetyrant I don't think you've ever known anybody with a serious mental health issue because if you did you wouldn't be saying any of this. "Lesbians are mentall disorder, so is being a habitual thief, a angry veteran, street fighter, rapist" no those are not classified as mental disorders, you should know that being such an expert right?
drugs can make people mentally ill. We knew this one guy normal and intelligent who took strong lsd and it made him unable to speak for several hours and the effects of it left a lasting impression on him. So don't beleive people who tell you lsd is harmless not to mention the dodgy crap in street drugs. remember there will be people who will reply to this and try and deny the facts. ignore them. Drugs really can make you mentally ill
@210482fmj I do not know much about scientology.People who are against psychiatry are not all scientologists.Infact they will just continue to expose the corrupt industry. There are clients who into a psychiatrist's office with only experiencing stress (which everyone has),the shrink prescribes poison just to sell something, the client becomes a patient and has to deal with more than 10 dangerous/fatal side effects.Basically the drugs cause new problems to occur for the victim/client.
@TheFriendlyEngineer "There are clients...." can you be more specific? Where are these people? I know you think you know, but until you provide ONE actual case, you are making things up, just like $cientology does. Its equally as bad, in my opinion.
@Scientologee A psychiatrist Maria Carmen Palazzo,MD on the payroll of GlaxoSmithKline has been sentenced to 13 months in prison after pleading guilty to committing research fraud in trials of the company’s antidepressant Paxil on children. The company has already agreed to pay more than $1 billion to settle roughly 700 birth defect lawsuits; another 100 or so suits are pending. The Miami Herald.
@Scientologee Dr.Mark Schiller, president of the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons, admitted: “I have frequently seen psychiatrists diagnose patients with a range of psychiatric diagnoses that aren’t justified, to obtain [insurance] reimbursements.”
@Scientologee The United States loses approximately $100 billion (€81.5 billion) to health care fraud each year. Up to $20 billion (€15.7 billion) of this is due to fraudulent practices in the mental health industry.CNBC
@Scientologee South Florida psychiatrists Alan Gumer,MD,Mark Willner,MD,Alberto Ayala,MD,along with 13 other doctors got in near the start of the nation's largest mental-health clinic racket in 2004.The racket enabled Miami-based American Therapeutic Corp. to bill the government program for psychotherapy that was unnecessary for thousands of patients who faked suffering from depression, schizophrenia or bipolar conditions. They pleaded guilty and faces 6 to 7 years in prison. The Miami Herald.
@Scientologee Please explain the thousands of deaths per year that have occured from Ritalin,Zoloft,Pazil, even Zyprexa(which causes an increase of cancer, diabetes and deaths).I am pretty sure if it were your family or friends, you would not be trying to protect the fraudulent pharmaceutical industry right now.(Unless you acquire commissions/a drug pusher just to receive profits)
@TheFriendlyEngineer I cant explain it, because you havent provided ONE name, or ONE specific person's story. You claim "thousands", however you still have yet to name ONE, in about 10 back and forth comments you and I have been making to each other. So, unless you have real dox, GTFO.
@Scientologee You can be ignorant all you want, the people you should contact the lawy firms responsible for dealing with the pharmaceutical companies.I guess you are also an arrogant person when you see an advertisement on the television warning people about the deaths involved by taking the poison that ave been prescribed you want thousands of names from them since you might know them. You are such a joke.Even the FDA,CDC and WHO documented people who died. You should ask them.
@Scientologee its like saying that you want an exact list of names of people who died from the 9/11 attack just to prove it.How about the list of exact names of the people who died from the tsunami that hit america just to believe it.LOL The credible sources are from governmental agencies and lawfirms.I personally have an aunt who almost died from taking paxil and she had to go through a year of drugless therapy.RIP victims of psychiatry.
@TheFriendlyEngineer Once again, you fail. I didnt ask you to talk about who died from 911, or the tsunami. I asked for ONE name, to back up YOUR claims, on MY video. ONE name. ONE. Fail.
@Scientologee Apparently you have no education on this topic. Its obvious you did not ask for names from the tsunami or 9/11.I was simply making a valid point in showing you the stupidity in asking for names of thousands of people who have died or suffered under psychiatric medications.Same principle wanting to know all of the victims names from the tsunami or 9/11 just to believe it.This shows utter ignorance from you.The facts remain in the lawsuits against such companies for years and names.
@Scientologee You need to read the book by Dr.John Virapen, former general manager of Eli Lilly for 35 years, his book called side effect deaths exposes the pharma industry and psychiatry scams. You can research the law firms that handled the cases against the drug companies that created psychiatric meds and you can verify all the names. While you are at it,find out the names of the people who died from vietnam just to confirm it's true that it actually happened lol. It would give you peace of mind.
@TheFriendlyEngineer Go ahead and sit there and suffer, undiagnosed....why would I care? Oh wait - cause I am a salesman, getting paid by the drug companies. Anyone not against psychiatrists in an extreme way, must be paid by Eli Lily according to you, right? I'm an SP too, I guess. Thanks, L Ron Engineer. Fail.
@Scientologee You are such a tool, you make no sense whatsoever and you cannot justify the scams and deaths brought on by psychiatric drugs.I gave an example of the former general manager who worked in the drug company for 35 years and he exposed the psychiatric industry and its fraud. You can sit there and be naive all you want.It makes your silly videos nonsensical.
@TheFriendlyEngineer Lord and baby Jesus, please I ask for your help with this fool. I asked for one name. ONE name. You gave me 9/11, vietnam, a GM of a company. I want ONE name of a person who has been "poisoned" as you say. Not the name of a book, or someone who wrote about someone else... I wanted the name of ONE person. Why. Baby Jesus. Do. These. Idiots. Sigh..... And oh yeah...get that ADHD checked out, little man. Maybe get on some "drugs". I get commission ya know.
@Scientologee You continue to remain naive. You can get all the names from the lawsuits against the drug companies.Sit there and believe psychotropic drugs are good for you.Like I said,go to the law firms and ask them yourself.I am just a concerned citizen observing the fraud and pseudoscience of psychiatry.I think you should look carefully at the ritalin case carefully and you will find many names of innocent people who have been injured or died taking it.Maybe to help you can use ritalout.
Psychiatry is a big Con and a SCAM.The medications that are prescribed by the quacks like psychiatrists/shrinks are killing thousands of people every year. The prescriptions cause serious and deadly side effects like suicidal thoughts and heart failure,a simple plot from the pharmaceutical companies to SELL a product. These people should be sent to jail for fraud.
@TheFriendlyEngineer - you cannot paint such a broad stroke. There are a greater percentage of Dr's out there who are not Fraud's, and who care about their patients and that help them. I understand you are taking a stance here but you kill your whole argument when you say that all of Psychiatry is a scam. Its just not true, and it turns your side of into an amateur statement. I urge you to learn real facts from real cases before you take a side and tell anyone why. Peace.
@Scientologee Real facts from real cases? That is such a salesman pitch.Actually the majority of drug doctors/pushers focus not on science but actually marketing products they call "medicine". Hiding under the pretense of "science".You are actually focusing on symptomatic treatment which would never solve any problematic issue. The lawsuits speak for itself where over 65000 has been issued within a 6 year period against pharmaceutical companies for killing hundreds of thousands of people.Fact.
@Scientologee Exactly its just your opinion.I think you should check on the large amounts of lawsuits issued against the drug companies.Look at ritalin, paxil, zoloft just to name a few.Do you want to visit the thousands of families who have lost their children or other family members because they were on some dangerous psychiatric drug? Apparently only a gullible chap like yourself will fall for the tricks of that industry. You need to open your eyes and observe the scams and the lawsuits.Simple.
@TheFriendlyEngineer why does scientology charge people for learning WHEN NO OTHER RELIGION EVER DOES please explane why they charge for the teaching . and one morething NO RELIGION HAS COPY RIGHTS ON THEIR HOLY BOOKS. scientology IS NOT A RELIGION its nothing more then psychology under a diffrent name hence AUDITING AKA PSYCHOLOGY SESSIN nothing more . but i dont expect a normal responce i expect name calling and things like that cuz its happend before to me .
The body doesn't need harsh synthetic "medications". It needs infusions of vitamins and minerals, and not to be flooded with toxins. The greatest medical invention of the 20th century is the JUICER. As you put less poisonous food into your body (processed and genetically modified food, refined carbohydrates, high-fructose corn syrup, pesticide-ridden, and, yes, cooked foods), and more raw foods and vegetable juices, especially dark leafy greens, you'll be amazed at your uncovered potential.
@all the victims here: unless you have had your mind personally fractured into multiple alters, and put your mind back together again on your own, then please don't describe to me the "realities" of bipolar, etc. ALL manufactured, root cause: not willing to be responsible for yourself. Always, every time. You create your own reality, life is an exact mirror of yourself, end of story. Can't fix your life without realizing that truth. Victim = you creating your problems. Way out = look only @ self
FYI, I KNOW suffering bro. It was a major pain in the ass going my own way after 25 yrs. of mental torture, deciding to think for myself and take control over my own thoughts and life, all the while having my family and "friends" in the cult constantly attack me, try to kill me (yes, kill), try to bankrupt me, on and on,. But I NEVER blamed ANYONE for my situation, because YOU can get yourself out of ANYTHING if you don't BLAME OTHER PEOPLE and skip the victim mentality. Hard to swallow, I know.
@Rainez667 Just because you think you can rise above anything all by your lonesome doesn't mean that there aren't real conditions out there that can be alleviated by treatment. We think you sound as silly as someone saying you can think your way out of diabetes, cancer and lice. It doesn't hurt to think or pray your way through those things as long as you also take your medication.
@MsColdCanada Rainez667 obviously still has issues....anyone who comes out of nowhere to claim that they are sane, to MAKE SURE YOU KNOW that he is sane, (he is sane, by the way) is.... well, not sane.
@Rainez667 I kind of understand your rationalisation, certainly being self-motivated to get out of the cult is a big accomplishment. And you're right, many people out there are always playing "the victim" and blaming everyone else for their problems except themselves. I think you need to remember that it is ok to be angry at others who have wronged you and recognise that wrong, but then as you have done, not dwelled on it but moved on. So kudos to you on moving on.
This guy just sounds like a big pussy. I was born and raised in Scientology, got 25 yrs. of brainwashing, de-programmed myself, and didn't go see a psychologist, didn't blame my problems on my parents, a chemical imbalance, having my feelings hurt when a girl dumped me, etc etc. Jesus, grow some balls and take some responsibility over your own life dude.
@Rainez667 - isnt he though, by writing a book, and sharing his painful past with people? It sounds like YOU might need therapy, or something.....your pretty aggro. I need to send you some Deepak Chopra on tape, or in the very least a valium might do ya some good, bro. Breeeaaath. Geeez Louise.
@Rainez667 Spoken like someone who has never suffered from mental illness. I'm happy for you, but please understand that there are people out there who do suffer.
@Rainez667 Idiot. Bipolar disorder isn't a made up disorder that people blame their problems on. It's an actual disorder that does have severe effects on what emotions people exhibit.
I don't know if the "solutions" that $cientology proposes and claims to deliver is even legal. Certainly, it is dangerously irresponsible for $cientology to prevent people from seeking medical help when they need it. We've all seen what happened to a certain celeb $cientologist's son.
@Scientologee As an example, unhappiness. If a friend comes to you unhappy, you would react as a friend should (I'd assume) and try to help, or at least comfort the friend as best you could. That's pretty much all I advocate.
@TMOvids - ?? Say wha?? You said, its dangerous to push the vulnerable into drugs instead of helping. So when has ANYONE written a friend a drug prescription in lieu of comforting them? I fail to see your connection there....Your comparing apples to oranges here. MOST people turn to drugs for illnesses. Unhappiness is not an illness. Depression, yes. Are you a $cientologist? Your making no sense like one....just saying.
@Scientologee It is indeed dangerous and irresponsible to push the vulnerable onto drugs instead of helping. This is why depressed people who turn to alcohol or anti-depressants have worse outcomes, relapse, etc., than those who don't. Our current culture encourages people not to help, but rather to send the friend off to see a clinician. This is irresponsible.
@Scientologee (cont.) This cultural impact has been studied a fair bit over the last decade, though mostly for schizophrenia, and indeed the studies have found that societal acceptance of mood-altering chemicals has a negative impact on a person's well-being. This won't surprise scientologists, and more and more psychologists (I can only speak of the UK - Bentall, Moncrieff) are now rejecting the medical model delusion.

210482fmj 6 months ago
@210482fmj I do not know much about scientology.People who are against psychiatry are not all scientologists.Infact they will just continue to expose the corrupt industry. There are clients who into a psychiatrist's office with only experiencing stress (which everyone has),the shrink prescribes poison just to sell something, the client becomes a patient and has to deal with more than 10 dangerous/fatal side effects.Basically the drugs cause new problems to occur for the victim/client.
TheFriendlyEngineer 6 months ago

TheFriendlyEngineer 6 months ago
@Scientologee South Florida psychiatrists Alan Gumer,MD,Mark Willner,MD,Alberto Ayala,MD,along with 13 other doctors got in near the start of the nation's largest mental-health clinic racket in 2004.The racket enabled Miami-based American Therapeutic Corp. to bill the government program for psychotherapy that was unnecessary for thousands of patients who faked suffering from depression, schizophrenia or bipolar conditions. They pleaded guilty and faces 6 to 7 years in prison. The Miami Herald.
TheFriendlyEngineer 6 months ago
@Scientologee Please explain the thousands of deaths per year that have occured from Ritalin,Zoloft,Pazil, even Zyprexa(which causes an increase of cancer, diabetes and deaths).I am pretty sure if it were your family or friends, you would not be trying to protect the fraudulent pharmaceutical industry right now.(Unless you acquire commissions/a drug pusher just to receive profits)
TheFriendlyEngineer 6 months ago
@TheFriendlyEngineer I cant explain it, because you havent provided ONE name, or ONE specific person's story. You claim "thousands", however you still have yet to name ONE, in about 10 back and forth comments you and I have been making to each other. So, unless you have real dox, GTFO.
Scientologee 6 months ago
@Scientologee You can be ignorant all you want, the people you should contact the lawy firms responsible for dealing with the pharmaceutical companies.I guess you are also an arrogant person when you see an advertisement on the television warning people about the deaths involved by taking the poison that ave been prescribed you want thousands of names from them since you might know them. You are such a joke.Even the FDA,CDC and WHO documented people who died. You should ask them.
TheFriendlyEngineer 6 months ago
@Scientologee its like saying that you want an exact list of names of people who died from the 9/11 attack just to prove it.How about the list of exact names of the people who died from the tsunami that hit america just to believe it.LOL The credible sources are from governmental agencies and lawfirms.I personally have an aunt who almost died from taking paxil and she had to go through a year of drugless therapy.RIP victims of psychiatry.
TheFriendlyEngineer 6 months ago
@TheFriendlyEngineer Once again, you fail. I didnt ask you to talk about who died from 911, or the tsunami. I asked for ONE name, to back up YOUR claims, on MY video. ONE name. ONE. Fail.
Scientologee 6 months ago
@Scientologee Apparently you have no education on this topic. Its obvious you did not ask for names from the tsunami or 9/11.I was simply making a valid point in showing you the stupidity in asking for names of thousands of people who have died or suffered under psychiatric medications.Same principle wanting to know all of the victims names from the tsunami or 9/11 just to believe it.This shows utter ignorance from you.The facts remain in the lawsuits against such companies for years and names.
TheFriendlyEngineer 6 months ago
@Scientologee You need to read the book by Dr.John Virapen, former general manager of Eli Lilly for 35 years, his book called side effect deaths exposes the pharma industry and psychiatry scams. You can research the law firms that handled the cases against the drug companies that created psychiatric meds and you can verify all the names. While you are at it,find out the names of the people who died from vietnam just to confirm it's true that it actually happened lol. It would give you peace of mind.
TheFriendlyEngineer 6 months ago
@TheFriendlyEngineer Man, on a serious note...you kind of lack focus. Have you ever been tested for ADHD?
Scientologee 6 months ago
@Scientologee Sounds pretty much like a salesman pitch to me.
TheFriendlyEngineer 6 months ago
@TheFriendlyEngineer Go ahead and sit there and suffer, undiagnosed....why would I care? Oh wait - cause I am a salesman, getting paid by the drug companies. Anyone not against psychiatrists in an extreme way, must be paid by Eli Lily according to you, right? I'm an SP too, I guess. Thanks, L Ron Engineer. Fail.
Scientologee 6 months ago
@Scientologee You are such a tool, you make no sense whatsoever and you cannot justify the scams and deaths brought on by psychiatric drugs.I gave an example of the former general manager who worked in the drug company for 35 years and he exposed the psychiatric industry and its fraud. You can sit there and be naive all you want.It makes your silly videos nonsensical.
TheFriendlyEngineer 6 months ago
@TheFriendlyEngineer Lord and baby Jesus, please I ask for your help with this fool. I asked for one name. ONE name. You gave me 9/11, vietnam, a GM of a company. I want ONE name of a person who has been "poisoned" as you say. Not the name of a book, or someone who wrote about someone else... I wanted the name of ONE person. Why. Baby Jesus. Do. These. Idiots. Sigh..... And oh yeah...get that ADHD checked out, little man. Maybe get on some "drugs". I get commission ya know.
Scientologee 6 months ago
@Scientologee You continue to remain naive. You can get all the names from the lawsuits against the drug companies.Sit there and believe psychotropic drugs are good for you.Like I said,go to the law firms and ask them yourself.I am just a concerned citizen observing the fraud and pseudoscience of psychiatry.I think you should look carefully at the ritalin case carefully and you will find many names of innocent people who have been injured or died taking it.Maybe to help you can use ritalout.
TheFriendlyEngineer 6 months ago
@TheFriendlyEngineer WHAT?
Scientologee 6 months ago
Psychiatry is a big Con and a SCAM.The medications that are prescribed by the quacks like psychiatrists/shrinks are killing thousands of people every year. The prescriptions cause serious and deadly side effects like suicidal thoughts and heart failure,a simple plot from the pharmaceutical companies to SELL a product. These people should be sent to jail for fraud.
TheFriendlyEngineer 7 months ago
@TheFriendlyEngineer - you cannot paint such a broad stroke. There are a greater percentage of Dr's out there who are not Fraud's, and who care about their patients and that help them. I understand you are taking a stance here but you kill your whole argument when you say that all of Psychiatry is a scam. Its just not true, and it turns your side of into an amateur statement. I urge you to learn real facts from real cases before you take a side and tell anyone why. Peace.
Scientologee 7 months ago
@Scientologee Real facts from real cases? That is such a salesman pitch.Actually the majority of drug doctors/pushers focus not on science but actually marketing products they call "medicine". Hiding under the pretense of "science".You are actually focusing on symptomatic treatment which would never solve any problematic issue. The lawsuits speak for itself where over 65000 has been issued within a 6 year period against pharmaceutical companies for killing hundreds of thousands of people.Fact.
TheFriendlyEngineer 7 months ago
@TheFriendlyEnginee - my point exactly. I didn't think you could provide one real case to back up your claim. Next.
Scientologee 7 months ago
@Scientologee Exactly its just your opinion.I think you should check on the large amounts of lawsuits issued against the drug companies.Look at ritalin, paxil, zoloft just to name a few.Do you want to visit the thousands of families who have lost their children or other family members because they were on some dangerous psychiatric drug? Apparently only a gullible chap like yourself will fall for the tricks of that industry. You need to open your eyes and observe the scams and the lawsuits.Simple.

@Rainez667
sounds like you have it all figured out, you pompous, arrogant, self absorbed douche-bag.
You don't have a clue, life is not only what you make it, there are many influences on ones life.
This "creating your own reality" is a fucking fairy-tale, so quit the holier than though routine and back off.

Rainez667 8 months ago
@Rainez667 Just because you think you can rise above anything all by your lonesome doesn't mean that there aren't real conditions out there that can be alleviated by treatment. We think you sound as silly as someone saying you can think your way out of diabetes, cancer and lice. It doesn't hurt to think or pray your way through those things as long as you also take your medication.
MsColdCanada 8 months ago
@MsColdCanada Rainez667 obviously still has issues....anyone who comes out of nowhere to claim that they are sane, to MAKE SURE YOU KNOW that he is sane, (he is sane, by the way) is.... well, not sane.
Scientologee 8 months ago

@Rainez667 Do you now protest against the cult ?

Scientologee 8 months ago
@Scientologee It is dangerously irresponsible to push the vulnerable into dependency on drugs instead of offering to help them.
TMOvids 7 months ago
@TMOvids - ok, I'll bite. So what condition would make you "vulnerable"....and what do you mean by "offering to help"?
Scientologee 7 months ago
@Scientologee As an example, unhappiness. If a friend comes to you unhappy, you would react as a friend should (I'd assume) and try to help, or at least comfort the friend as best you could. That's pretty much all I advocate.
TMOvids 7 months ago
@TMOvids - ?? Say wha?? You said, its dangerous to push the vulnerable into drugs instead of helping. So when has ANYONE written a friend a drug prescription in lieu of comforting them? I fail to see your connection there....Your comparing apples to oranges here. MOST people turn to drugs for illnesses. Unhappiness is not an illness. Depression, yes. Are you a $cientologist? Your making no sense like one....just saying.
Scientologee 7 months ago
@Scientologee It is indeed dangerous and irresponsible to push the vulnerable onto drugs instead of helping. This is why depressed people who turn to alcohol or anti-depressants have worse outcomes, relapse, etc., than those who don't. Our current culture encourages people not to help, but rather to send the friend off to see a clinician. This is irresponsible.
TMOvids 7 months ago
@Scientologee (cont.) This cultural impact has been studied a fair bit over the last decade, though mostly for schizophrenia, and indeed the studies have found that societal acceptance of mood-altering chemicals has a negative impact on a person's well-being. This won't surprise scientologists, and more and more psychologists (I can only speak of the UK - Bentall, Moncrieff) are now rejecting the medical model delusion.
