these are the best learning tools! My boy could pedal a bike at 2 1/2 thanks to starting on one of these.

I think you just need to take away the paddle from regular bike to help the kids learn balance rather than buy this type of 'bike' - glider or something just to save some money.

@TheSolidsnake2001 There are more benifits to a training bike than just not having pedals, such a weight and ride height. I do not regret this purchase at all and now his 2 year old little sister is learning to ride with it. We love our Glider Rider.

@jtravis77 oh sure thing, I'm just saying that for those ppl who want their kids to learn to ride/balance can still do it without spending extra $, the Glider looks like a good toy.. cheers.

Great video! I first wrote about Randy Eady & the Glider Rider, on The Cycling Dude, in 2006, and was very impressed with his writing, and the bike.
