@gunshops1 buy a copy and make a usb booteable. so u can install windows from it

Do you have to reinstall the OS by doing this? And how do you transfer all you crap from your HDD to your new SSD? I'm interested on doing this on my 320gb Sony VAIO, by replacing it's Seagate 320gb SATA with a 120gb Intel 320 series SSD.

@SonyFan4 well of course u have to re install that the hole point! u should copy all ur file to an external harddrive. I will go with the OCZ ssd they are the best that I ever tried. OCZ Vertex 3 !

Thanks. It is still a lot for just 120 Gb. My steam games alone are over 120 Gb. Unfortunately my chassis won't allow dual HDDs so I can only use one.

@jameslatief1 you mean the physical size or internal if it is internal size I mean GB I don't think there is a maximun size.

the harddrive has burned down... and I'm just gonna replace it... if I want an ssd, do I have to get a special one to replace it with, or doesn't it matter?

@TheGamingtoday hey does that mean you have HHD on one port and SSD where the Optical drive is, or the other way around? But thats I plan on doing to my DV6 laptop once I get it (I ordered it). I want to install a Cruial M4 on it. How it your laptop doing? like is there any probems and how did stop the SSD/HHD in place where the Optical used to be?

@roy360360 I have the ssd where the original hdd was and the original hdd where the DVD was. My laptop is so fast ! an ssd is the best upgrade that u can do these days.

Thanks! I had to replace my drive and didn't want to pull on the wrong thing. Your video made it simple. I used a Hybrid though, Seagate Momentus XT.
