why is he standing so far away from the hologram? seems this hologram that they are presenting is more important then the actual news story. 'we beemed you in, we beemed you in....". are you fucking startrek now?! CNN should try something different to present the amercian public for the first time,......... some integrity.
Oh wow. They use the same effects found in starwars :) I didn't think THAT was possible :P Sarcasm away, people who can't make up their mind about this being "real" holograms or not should do a youtube search for "augmented reality". It's really cool stuff and there are games being made utilizing these techniques using a regular webcam. Awesome stuff.
Here's a thought. Just a thought. If they want to test project bluebeam holograms on network tv. First they do so and say its real, then they come back and say it was all a hoax. That way the public beleives that they don't have hologram technology.
Well Wolf you are right about one thing "I have never seen anything like this, and I hope this is the last time I see this crap tech on the news, enough...Hey Wolf try to beam yourself out.
best prank since war of the worlds 50 years ago...watch "cnn hologram tv first hoax exposed on discovery channel"...it worked so good its laughable(yet frighting to know one channel is so powerful to make so many people belive this)
That is not a hologram. I hate marketing people who have no idea what their talking about.
Yes, it is neat technology that creates the visual effect of the person in virtual 3D space, but if your not looking at a video screen she cant be sceen.
Yeah, it is probably not a real hologram, just a very masterful copy-paste into the image. If the studio audience could in fact see it, that'd be incredible, but from what she herself says, it doesn't sound like it. :(
doyubi...think yopu got fooled for sure lol ...watch"cnn hologram tv first hoax exposed on discovery channel"...all the discovery clips are from daily planet which aired last night and this morning....respect the pessimistic they are the watch dogs lol
green screen maybe, or just somtin else but holograms if the other ppl cant see maybe he even cant i think green screen, or maybe wat she said i dunno lol
yeah she was surrounded by a green screen in the room. however the cameras moved in her tent communicated with the cameras in the newsroom and that's how it worked. if you go to cnn's website, click on video in the top right then click on the "by section" link about halfway down the page, then select "tech" on the left hand side and you should see it there. they explain it.
He says he's seeing her, but it's a reference to the broadcast we're seeing, not as if she's in front of him. This is a "tomogram", not a "hologram". A tomogram has 35 cameras and a good computer placing her on a screen as if she was visible in a studio. The red disc on the floor is just bullshit to make people think it's coming from there and as a placeholder for what direction the person actually there has to look over at.
alright thats cool..i can see the new way of watching porn now..oh yeah..oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah< did that for audio preview..lol.
remove the background!!!!!! no one else to have a say in the background all information will be done this way so you can't see any protesters anymore, add a green screen and you can make up any type of angle you want!
Another example of media plaYing tricks on menkinds mind, they add this one tv, the one who applaused where instructed to do,and Amerika fooled ya again. But still I think its possible to do(hologram),project blue beam???

The newsreporter can probably see the projected result on a screen off-camera. However, the red reference point could be used to have him assume where the "hologram" would have been. It's easy with todays software and technology to give the impression of such amazing concepts as holographic projections. Of course, it is just augmented there, and I stay with my point until I witness an eyes-first glimpse of such a hologram in action. You can play around with anything in media. Look at Star Wars.
It's not a real hologram. He can't see her in the studio. It's a simulation for TV. CG.

that was my first impression too. A simple CPU/broadcast trick.

By CPU did you mean computer?
fashnek 3 years ago
Simple digital cut and paste, it has been done in movies and tv shows for decades.
Unless the audience can actually see her in three dimensions, it is NOT a hologram.
No big deal here folks, just some digital graphic software. Kind of like a video photoshop program.
