@xubarze There's just one problem with Wesker's Report: Capcom seems to be doing everything in their power to contradict it at all costs. For example:

*Wesker claims to have Sherry with him at the end of Weskers Report, however, Resident Evil 3's epilouge claims Sherry is in the hands of the government, which is why Leon started working for them in the first place.

As such, we can't really consider Wesker's Report canon.

it also ties in with Claire B. Ada had fallen down to the bottom floor of the facility, which is why she was there to throw Claire the rocket launcher to finish off Mr. X

@IidoTheFox No, in the B scenario Ada meets with Sherry for a moment and she escapes, but she loses her necklace that has a G-virus sample in it that's how she gets it, after Mr.X attacks her and Leon goes to the station she could have easily followed him or used the air vents to reach the rocket launcher and give it to Leon i'm sure Claire A and Leon B is the canon scenario though not all the events are 100% accurate.

But anyways in Umbrella Chronicles there is a scenario that kind of explains her escape, other reasons why the Claire A and Leon B one is canon is because it shows exactly how Ada gets the G virus and Claire used the "DEVIL" vaccine on Sherry (She gets infected in canon) :)

The backgrounds are actually 3D rendered to 2D still-frames, other than some parts which are animated (very few). Most of the animated things like clocks and candles and moveable junk was just the 3D part of the background rendered with the game's 3d Graphics so that they were interactive, as opposed to the pre-rendered background which was made in a program and then the game-rendered components were stuck into that flat 3D pre-render. Code Veronica has on the spot rendered bgs.

This isn't the way the story was supposed to go. Claire's story was supposed to go first, then Leon. In Leon B, Ada gets the shit beat out of her by Trenchy(AKA your stalker), but survived. She intended to fake her death there, so A) she could survive, and B) so she wouldn't have to kill Leon. Ada survived and later tossed the Rocket Launcher in the boss fight behind the train. She was never dead or cloaned.

Ada was retconned as not dying in RE2, by Wesker's Report, RE4, and Umbrella Chronicles. The official plot considers Claire A > Leon B, where the tyrant simply smashes her into the reactor thing (after she has already been impaled by Birkin earlier and should be dead after not 1 but 2 super-B.O.Ws), as illustrated in Darkside Chronicles. This is why when she gets impaled, shot, and falls a million feet, she does not die - because Capcom ignored this entirely.

Anette Birkin shoots Ada in the sewer levels leading to the tram freight elevator that leads to the actual underground lab, hitting Leon in the shoulder instead as he instinctively dives to protect Ada from the bullet. What you have here in RE2 is legitimate character portrayal/development, showing that Leon is a genuinely good person, where in 4 he is just a bland, boring, personality-devoid blondie with a gun. It's nice to look back at a respectable period of Capcom's history, eh?
