This is the number one killer for motorcyclist's. Driver made a left hand turn right in front of the bike. Sadly, many are killed. It's happened to all of us at one time or another. Keep the shiny side up guys!

It was definitely the trucks fault, but as an experienced rider this could have been easily avoided by the rider. NEVER pull off from a light immediately, always wait just a second or 2. This allows you to see assholes like this truck or potential red light runners. And of course, this squid on the bike wasn't even wearing jeans.......Idiot. really they are both at fault. Truck driver should have been more cautious , true , especially if he was driving into the sun.. That aside however the biker should have been going MUCH slower. Its common sense , he wasnt:

a) doing his lifesavers , god only knows why car drivers can be so impatient

b) going waaayyy too fast into corner

c) not cautious enough around crossroads

The difference between life and death can be a 1 - 3 second to check blind spots and directions.

He should have been wearing protective clothing, for a start. A HELMET IS AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY. Secondly, he should been anticipating that at that time of day with the sun behind him, he would be very hard for an oncoming driver to see. Lucky for him that he isn't dead.
