I don't know what happened to my last comment but anyway, I tried this like 2000 times literally on a PS3 controller then I did it but it didn't count cuz I used 3ps instead of 1. So I finally got it consistently but it's not worth it IMO. Lol I turned my controller sideways and pressed square then pianoed triange and X. That worked. Then I cheated an switched "Oh" to HP (instead of HK) and slid X and O holding the controller normal. That works too... but I can't play like that normally.

thanks so much for this video! well i'm from germany and i had to watch it over and over again until i understood all inputs.. but i did and it works, although i do the second hands just like the first (no 2x hard punch). and without beeing a smartass, theres a small mistake in your written input description (mp instead of mk) i uploaded two gen combo videos (including a 59 hit combo with the mk-hands^^) would have been impossible without your video. all this time i try to piano out all 5 punches during the mk and i only ever get 1/20 times but now that u say u can just do all 3 punches for 1 makes me feel like a retard

Amazing tutorial you got here Jibbo. I've been trying your method for a couple days now for a good amount of time. Sad to say I'm still unable to pull off the hands after mk.

I saw at 0:55 and other parts of the video that your piano actually runs like MP, HP-(HP&MP)-LP... is this something I should be replicating? Cuz the [[ mp, (hp, mp, lp), mK~lp, hp (hands) ]] method doesn't seem to be working wonders for me... any input? =p

Thanks for the excellent video and showing and telling all SFIV players how to mk hands combo JiBbo. This combo is amazing. I love using Gen and use him often too, but I'm not as skilled as you. You're my favorite Gen player because you do this combo every single time. Plus you easily defeated an excellent Rose player named ShinkuuR on YouTube. :)

i think it should be used as a punisher more than anything else, rather than trying to set it up.. i think anyway, i can't actually do this combo yet (but im still trying.) so im not really in a position to say.

What he said by the MP isn't part of the hands input is right...you delay the 3P a bit so the HP~MP~LP~MK+LP~HP all happen together. There are your five inputs.

It took me a ton of practice, but I've got it down pretty good now...even the FADC stuff.

Coldviper18, if you still want to try the piano method, I'll show you at next casuals.

It is wayyyy easier to FADC out of hands using this method than the normal piano method.

Bc after activating hands w/ the last HP input, it becomes as normal as canceling for Ryu/Ken/Sagat's SRK > FADC > Ultra...hand and button wise.

thanks for the tutorial but could you write down on the description the inputs for fadc?

I see on the video you start with a strong (buffering) hands, then I think it is forward (buffering) hands but I can't see clearly how you input the FADC to then again input strong and the previously string of bufferings.

i think this is your answer... immediatley after you have presesed the 5 punch buttons quickly press MK and MP together (focus attack)(2 super bars needed) the dash forward and input the command for the hands again.

Yeah I'm having the same problem as bboynubi. After my standing mp, I never time it how I'm supposed to so that I get the MK to combo in. And if I do, it's usually alot later than what I'm seeing you do it and then hands don't combo in.. Any advice bro?

Haha I finally got it after JiBbo's help, what happened to me was that I was piano-ing it too fast

How I fixed it was that I piano-ed slower

But I still had trouble, it kept doing the light hands instead of heavy hands, instead of kara-ing MK+LP, I used MK+HP, let me know if you get it

I had, is actually more important to piano s-l-o-w and the MK comes always 90% with the MK + LP

Ok so my inputs are: MP HP MP LP then MK+HP really fast or just kara it, doesn't matter

So by trying over and over again, JiBbo finally helped me on this, and since then I did it my own way

So what I do is, I hit MP HP MP LP, all of that before the animation of the MP finishes, then I hit MK+HP really fast, that will activate the hands

I practice combo-ing MP > MK just to see the timing if that helps

So I guess I piano it slowly, rather than fast

Man, I swear it might be impossible for some people to do the piano method. I've been trying to do it for weeks now and I can't even successfully get it to come out unless I really just kind of mash and get ex.

I can do the slide method, but I have issues with FADC sometimes. So I hoped I could learn the piano method cause it just seemed more reliable than sliding my hand.

Is there any exercises I could do with my hand to maybe make my fingers move quicker? And learn to double tap faster?

I hit cofirm the standing forward off the standing strong. It's not fast at all, you just need to buffer the three punch inputs everytime, so if it hits you have hands ready.

In the video is said that the first medium punch doesn't count towards the hands, but for me it does. How do you explain that?

So what i do is: mp, mp, mp, mk~lp, hp, and it works;

if I try to do mp, 3 punches, mk~lp I get the weak hands instead of the medium kick. Weird eh?

i prefer to 4x lp+mk after the first set of hands .. kara method + mash = easy mk link .. and you only have to press fp once more ..

I'm still confused. Most of the threads I see is MK Lp mp Hp mp hp or something similar. I also see MK+LP , mp, HP, Lp HP or something similar. Whats the easiest way to do it? i've done see MK+LP , mp, HP, Lp HP with some success but its not conssitent. jibbo (From what I see) just presses Mk+Lp then Hps or something thing.

Any pointers?

I'm pressing three punches BEFORE I link the forward. Those other methods are for raw mk > hands. My method makes the combo much easier because the punch inputs are spread out and it uses the plink method.

Mp, PPP, LP+MK, LP+MK, HP is easier for me it registers consistently. now i'm confused about the second part. You mentioned buffering 3 moves before MK. How so?

PPP, LK+MK HP, HP. It sounds like you do 4 inputs. Maybe that's not the case.
