  • anyone know if a nikon d7000 could squeeze in there lens down?

  • At VideoScenario: Djeez, nitpicking much? KillingOptions, winning the stuff was a LONG time ago. lol.

  • would you happen to know if the Maxpedition Jumbo and the LEO are the same size?

  • @cibolodave Other than the pockets being set up differently, the size is the same.

  • How do we win one of these bags?

  • how many m4 mags would fit in the main compartment?

  • @20GATE91 Good Question! I would estimate about 15. Anyone else know?

  • @darb1017 this holds about 6 mags depending what style they are :)

  • Never showed the rear CCW compartment. It would be nice to see how easily a pistol can be inserted and removed from that pocket.

Otherwise very helpful review. I did a review search for this before ordering mine. Your review has helped me make the decision for the EDC over the LEO.

  • Is it possible to fit a nalgene 32oz in the LEO version.. in the mag pouch in the front?

im torn between those 2 (and the mongo) and the water bottle is something i like as a feature. if the LEO can't take a nalgene, i'll pass on this one.

    thank you for your answer

  • @docburnz I gave the LEO away in a contest. I doubt a nalgene would fit, but you can always get the mini rollypolly (fits Nalgene) and attache it to the LEO.

  • Great review

But I much prefer the 1000 nylon Maxpadition has always used, instead of this newer lighter weight 800. Just won't be as rugged.

Anyone know, is Maxpadion going to replace all of there 1000 nylon with the 800 nylon?

  • They used the 800D to lighten the bag. To be honest, compairing 800D and 1000D, I can't tell much difference

  • hey, great review! is the Khaki as shiny / reflective in normal light or is it just the lighting your in? I ask because in the mil-specmonkey video it looks a lot more muted and well manly :P If I'm going to get a murse for travel / baby bag I need it to be the manliest man man purse ever.. what do you thing ?

  • looks like they need some rain draw string in the main compartment

  • That was one way that they helped lower the weight. and it is quicker to get into the bag.

  • Is the phone holder on the LEO detachable or stitched on?

  • stitched oh.

  • Wow, I think Im going to get one of these. My wife wants me to buy a diaper bag for my kid. I think the EDC is going to keep some of my dignity in tact

  • That was How I was introduced to Maxpedition. I was given a Jumbo as as "Man's Diaper Bag". It is PERFECT!

You can win one still if you are not already a subscriber! The Drawing will be the 2nd of January!

  • Sounds Good. Thanks for the Comment

  • Great new packs from MaxP! Thx for the video

  • Ok i think im sold on the edc, just wished they had kept the knife slot, good video man

  • There was a sale on LApolicegear for 25% off their price using the promo code MAX25. You can try to see if the promo code still works but I doubt it. Go to checkout and pop in the promo code and see if it still works.

  • How bulky are they? There's a sale on these on a website and I can grab the EDC for 50, and the LEO for 55. I REALLY want the Water bottle carrier, but I also love the cell phone holder. So that's what's been holding me up. Would using MOLLE to add a bottle carrier to the LEO make it a bit too bulky for urban EDC, I'm a thin kind of guy so anything big makes a difference on me.

  • If I understand correctly, I would suggest the EDC in your case. Just add a cell phone holder. That's what I will be doing. I never thought of adding a cell holder to my standard Jumbo until I saw the LEO. As for bulkiness...only as bulky as you make it. I would not use the word "bulky" to describe any of the Jumbos.

  • Thanks for the reply, that's what I was thinking as well. I forgot to mention that I also liked the LEO because the pouch on the right looked good easy access to pepper spray while you'd have to unzip on the EDC, but there's plenty of other places to put it. Other than that, I think I'll be getting the EDC. And I suppose you're right, it's only as big as you stuff it. Again, thanks.

  • @ZyklonB138

Where could i find Jumbo LEO for 55 ?

  • ya, where are you finding them at that price?

  • I originally hated the idea of the belt attachment on the rear but have grown to like the idea of it. The belt loop on my Fatboy is almost never used because I would have to wear my bag much lower than I find comfortable. The belt gives you more options.

  • I thought the same. The belt is great, and if you don;t like/want it, you can remove it!

  • I love the draw string cover for the main compartment. I use it to create a small compartment on top for my gloves. etc. I'll just add a cell phone holster to my jumbo. I also don't think making it out of a lighter material is a good thing.

  • Excellent. I have an original Jumbo Versipack in black. I like elements of the old, the newer one and the LEO/EDC. Wish you could customize, like you said. But oh well. Thanks for the quick (just came out!) and thorough review! PS: You forgot to mention that they removed the drawstring pouch on the main compartment.

  • I will be doing a comparison of the New Jumbo Design with the EDC. A lot of the little things I missed will be covered. Stay tuned!

  • I really dig your review on these two bags, looking foward review of the Mongo.

    Thanks alot

  • Excellent video! Great to see the comparison! Any chance you will get a Mongo to do a video on?

  • Stay tuned for the Mongo. Be sure to subscribe!

  • Nice review mate! Good to see Maxpedition updating their designs and including new features! also agree with your comment on the phone holder...all Jumbo's should have this! What's your opinion on 1000 vs 800 denier fabric?

  • 800D is like the 1000D already broken in. You wouldn't know the difference unless you were really paying attention to the fabric.

  • On the LEO model will a Garmin 60 csx GPS fill in the cell phone pouch?

  • The pocket is felt lined.

I just checked the specs of the 60gsx, and I believe it will fit, snugly, but fit. If there is any ruberization, it may be a bit too much grip. My Garmin eTrex Legend C can fit, but the ruberization makes it a bit too snug. I guess you could cut the elastic straps.

  • I like the LEO, I like that it can fit 5.56mm Mags. I believe it would make a great Rifle & Pistol Bag for the range. Great vid! 5/5

  • Certainly a great bag at the range! Also, with the waist strap holding it much more stable, a GREAT Active Shooter Bag!

  • I have the Fatboy, it's a bit small for a Range Bag but the LEO would be perfect. I could see where the waistsrap would make it even that much better if I was running around in the woods or something. I have a few Maxpedition bags and cases I want to get (Like the Active shooter bag with clip holders), I am going to add this one to the list. I like that green color.

  • Lucky you ! great vid

  • Thanks Darb, I was wondering what the differences were and how they looked in RL. 5*s.

  • Nicely done. I've been using a Jumbo for my business EDC for a while now. I really like the changes Maxpedition has made to the LEO model. They set it up the way I kinda 'built' mine. I added a phone pouch to it. And I love that they removed the bottle carrier and added the second pouch. I also removed the inner draw string cover.

    Great review.

    5/5

  • Very solid packs and good video

  • I just wish you could pick and choose features and build your own bag! Of course by the time I was finished it would probably be bigger than van! ;^P Man I love my S-Style Jumbo!

  • cool! ive been waiting for video reviews on these 2 variants and Mongo. thanks
