  • Maybe it's my own eyes but does that guy not remind you of the same dude who played the Gay Tailor from Kung Fu Hustle?

  • EARTHBEND POWERS HAWAAAAAA

  • this Master is Death applied Beautifully to engauge him in combat is to Die Well

  • You can actually see how strong he is, xD but the scariest part of the whole form is how his finger looks like it could crack your head without any effort!

  • I'll try to learn the whole his "dance".

  • He looks oddly like the Iron Fist master from Kung Fu Hustle.

  • @LetTheMusicFlow1 That's because HE IS the Iron Fist master.

  • @LetTheMusicFlow1 He is! ^^

  • @LetTheMusicFlow1 Coz' it's him in the movie.

  • @DarkLord0fHell Erm...who?

  • @DarkLord0fHell Who's Hannah?

  • Without the rocks flying around the place, the fight moves look somewhat camp by themselves.

  • I find it funny that Oukimuni was actually one of the people fighting. XD Just shut up, if you know martial arts, then fine. I do too, but I don't shove it down anyone's throat.

  • This video is very good feels proud in being part of this family

  • This guy played in kung fu hustle!!!.

  • 1:49 I swear I thought he was going to make it Rise

  • I recognized a lot of his moves from Avatar. Hung gar was the form used in the show for Earthbending. Though it's a lot cooler seen in real life!

  • I think this is the guy from Kung Fu hustle because he really does know theHung-Gar Kung-Fu style.

  • Hung Gar is older than Shorin Ryu Karate thunderstruck you wrote that backwards

  • @littlewazz No you simply misread what he said. The way he worded it isn't easy to follow if you're not paying attention or you're just stupid. ;\

  • I spent 3 years learning the complete form from the video. I bet my form is way off though. I need a teacher. but I know this form by heart now!

  • He looks constipated..... but sad thing is, he could probably whoop my ass while looking constipated...

  • The worst beating I ever took was from a hung gar user. Those hands hurt everything they touch.

  • This fucker is that gay guy from Kung Fu Hustle.

OMG... and to think he really did have some background in martial arts makes even want to laugh more the next to I re-watch Kung Fu Hustle.

I mean... he acted like so fucking gay in it....

  • Video stop showing on my phone

  • IS THIS DEFINITIVE? I HAVE SEEN DIFFERENT VERSIONS.

  • i am a hung gar beginner and this form is excellent i cant wait till i get to a higher rank and on top of that hung gar has the 5 animals and 5 element style.

  • This truly is an awesome fighting style! Maybe I'll start training it soon, depends on if I find a good school or not...

  • @Kansasforlife If you don't mind sharing, where are you? I'm a Hung Gar student myself so I may be able to help you.

  • Impresses me to see how Sigung Chiu more or less can still to this day practice this Hung Gar.

Hey, just wanted to ask, anyone know of any good Hung Gar schools or masters in Hong Kong? I will be moving there in a week and have been wanting to take Hung Gar for such a long time. Any help would be appreciated!

  • ...so many people fighting, just suck up and admit you're all watching this to mimic Earthbending.

  • @Oukimuni agreed. Like they say in Buddhism, out of all the disciples a few become masters, and out of all the masters, only a few capture the true essence of their practice. Just mimic that guy, and if you can do it exactly like him, then your very very good.

  • @Oukimuni not everyone you fucking nerd. my uncle practiced this for decades...

  • @qwklzx Too bad he's dishonored by having a pussy of a nephew oops, I'm sorry; niece.

  • @Oukimuni Excuse me you fat white cunt? I did kung fu for 5 years dumbass troll. I could punch your fat lardball of a stomach so hard it would rebound and hit your own face and knock you out. Please masturbate to Avatar more.

  • @qwklzx Well that's sweet and all, but I hardly believe you. I mean I doubt you'd earn a yellow belt. Just because you trained for five years, doesn't mean a thing if you're only reason is to take your uncle's cock. ~<3

  • @Oukimuni Lmao you dont have to believe me. Shit youre just another one of those lazy fat guys who's accomplished basically nothing in his life so instead attempts to use sarcasm and witty humor to entertain himself. It's quite sad that although you think you're really clever, you're still a huge failure who most likely lives with his mother...wishing that a girl would look at you :(

  • @Oukimuni ... HOW'D YOU KNOW? XDD

  • @Oukimuni Darn you blowing my cover...

  • @Oukimuni Yup...

  • @Oukimuni Yes...yes I am doing this for Earthbending, now can you leave me alone, I must practice

    *retreats to bedroom*

  • how many patterns you have in hung gar (like green dragon leaves the water or black tiger caches the ram) and wich are they?

  • that guy is in kung fu hustle,...at least it looks like him. No racism intended.

  • @DrumNasty123 You're right it's him. He's a lot older in KFH. He was also in Snake In The Eagle's Shadow.

  • Its amazing how the Tiger Crane Form I have learned in class is identical to this video!

  • isn't this the tailor fairy guy from Kung Fu hustle...? o.o

  • @dancemasterv yes its him ^^

  • im training exactly this in norway its so fun :3

    hung gar kung fu.

  • That's where you're at? Ok. Please don't come back!

  • Gung Fu is power concealed in elegance.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi

Sure sure sure, everything is related....You're related to a donkey. You missed the point. Do you know what slo-mo means?

  • i know this man from some movies during the 70´s or 80´s.

very nice to see him here doing tiger and crane.

in our system we have some crane moves ,too:)

best regards to the Art, by sihing Georg

  • its faked its clearly been edited u can hear the sound effects tht they use in the old fashioned kung fu films plus its lau gar not hung gar with tiger and crane forms hung gar is the minor forms such as monkey mantis and eagle

  • Man, Hung Gar is so fucking cool! I've always wanted to learn it. Even my Grandmaster thinks it's cool.

  • thank you

  • wow that was beautiful. amazing. hes the dude from kung fu hustle!!! the gay tailor!!! :D awesome!

i didnt know he was so AMAZING though. wow. his skill is masterfull

  • brilliant vid and also the dude preforming the moves is in the film kung fu hustle and still moves brill for an older gent

  • Good clip. The best teacher of Hung Ga in the U.S. that I have seen is Wong Yew Ching ( Y. C. Wong ) of San Francisco. He learned from Lam Jo, a realative of Lam Sai Wing ( the guy in the Hung Ga books tiger crane and iron wire). Lam Sai Wing was a student of Wong Fei Hung. As to the karate guys comments-goju is more influenced by white crane kung fu-not Hung.

  • i think karate was made from this style of kung fu

  • @ryanWeap Especially Goju and Uechi ryu. Came from tiger crane

  • hung gar was one of my favorite forms to do, the kung fu i know broke hung gar down into sets and there was 6 of them, i learned 4 and 6, i would demonstrate it at tournaments all the time, i love it

  • the strength and intesity plus the gracious flow is made to look easy, this truly is an art of discipline. thnx for the upload. for someone like me who likes to expand their mind and body being able to watch this is an honor in its own right.

  • thats the guy from kung fu huslte!

  • This guys in bruce lee : the Man, the Myth

haha! Bruce lee kicked his ASS!

  • A truly awe inspiring display of the Gung Ji Fuk Fu Kuen. Takes a true master to put this much power and vigor into a training session\display. Seen it many times, but never with this much power and smoothness. Very impressive, thanks for the upload "Si Heng ChowLiWei!" :) Hung Kuen Mo Kwon!

  • Im no kung fu practitioner but this guy shows some spectacular forms

  • hey was this dude in kung fu hustle?

  • Are the sound effects actually real? Like the whooshing sounds?

  • @th3warr1or : The sound effects I would say are added. But I know for a fact that when performed in a full "uniform"\"kit" the fabric of both pants and shirt makes much the same sound when performed as intensely as this.

  • Loving the music.

  • no wonder is called martial ARTS

  • This guy has been around a long time, he was in a bruce lee knock off "The man the myth". Crappy movie but this guy is top notch in the Hung-Gar world. You could learn alot from him. All you need is a good eye and an open mind...

  • this guy looks like the guy from kung fu hustle, u know the guy with the rings

  • @MrCoolio42 he actually is that guy

  • "Kung Fu is Kung Fu" -- I can't help it if somebody gets hurt...Bruce Lee...circa?

  • Beautiful form. Thanks for the upload. Do you know if there are any videos of Chiu Chi Ling performing Lau Gar?

  • kewldude00 you caling Thunderstrucktattoo an idiot does nothing but start conflict! Why not open your mind and admit you could be wrong? humility, dedication,Perserverance, and technique are things to be learned! you could do with some humilty.

  • Wow, thats a long form.

I mean a very, very long form.

You'd be doing well just to finish it, not to mention doing it with power and precision.

  • just shows how much u suck

  • Ahh,

wise words from an obvious martial arts expert.

I am honored that u have taken the time to grace me with your opinion.

I only wish that u would put some videos up of your superior technique so that this humble novice could be shown how a true martial arts genius trains.

  • cant afford a camera there no jobs (TOT)

  • all you guys are just plain ignorant. i learned TKD in my childhood, learned choy li fut kung fu and tai chi, then moved on to mma/ jiu jitsu as well as wrestling. from my own experience, i find that traditional martial arts have practical and impractical elements. through combining all these teachings, a martial artist is relieved of their closed mindedness of martial arts.

  • Karate vs. Kung Fu...blah blah blah...a better fighter is a better fighter. A better athlete is one who trains and pushes himself no matter what the conditions are. Be it a form of martial arts or how fast you can run...if you train hard enough it doesn't matter what style you are involved in. Hun Gar Kung Fu is the direct Ancestor to Shorin Ryu Karate...it's style is almost identical aside from the big flowery movements. I assure you it is not watered down! Train Hard!!!

  • @Thunderstrucktattoo your an idiot it matters a lot someone who does karate for five years and trains so hard can easily be beat by someone who has only been doing akido for a year and has not trained as hard. and you are not an idiot just naive perhaps you must be doing it to truly understand

  • so much an idiot that the master bruce lee himself has been quoted as calling shenanigans on which fighting style is better...a person who trains in karate (i'm a black belt in shorin ryu karate) may not train as hard as a person with one year in aikido...it's all in who trains harder, pushes harder, and has higher goals...that is what makes one a better fighter...not the fighting style

  • hahahhahahahahahha!!!!! fool....

  • @Thunderstrucktattoo there are no bad systems, just bad fighters

  • @Thunderstrucktattoo well said bro :)

  • @Thunderstrucktattoo toda la razon mi hermano toda la razon

  • @Thunderstrucktattoo I did Karate-Do with a school that's main style is Shorin Ryu, As you get higher into black belt ranks more and more of the forms look kung-fu like with the hand jestures there a few noticeable crane movements early on. My sensei being the old proud Japanese man he was wouldn't ever admit it having anything to do with the Chinese or coming from hung-gar but it was pretty clear there were some roots. lol

  • Hey, People: This actor is the same of the movie "Kung Fu Hustle" hahaha it was the tailor fighter.

  • to mindcloudbeta: chiu chi lin loses in UFC but MMA fighters lose in real life because he either gets his balls ripped out or his throat ripped out or his eyes ripped out, of which non of those are allowed in the ring unfortunatly for you UFC trash talkers. its like saying anderson silva is awesome but he gets stabbed to death in a dark alley i wonder why.

  • this is perfection power speed at the right moments & grace

  • Look up Cung Le, who was a very polished fighter doing Sanshou (Chinese free-style fighting) before he got into UFC.

  • You dumbasses need to stop comparing everything to UFC. UFC is a sport, it's not a self defense system.

  • @publikenemy187 actually the ufc is a competition in a sport, mma competitions exist all over the world.

  • @publikenemy187 Ya man, to me UFC has never been a martial art but a combat sport. I've always loved Hungar because of it's simplicity and especially it's maneuvers and strong concentrated moves. I LOVE HUNGAR!

  • @publikenemy187 Pro wrestling is not real. All choreographed..(spl?) and planned out (sometimes improvised if things get out of hand) before the actual match. This is real.

  • there's a very simple difference between martial arts focusing on sport/competition and martial arts focusing on self-defense in a real no holds barred fight ( no refs, no rules, no time limit, anything goes). You can do MMA and defend yourself but will perform even better in the octagon. You can do Hung Ga and fight in the UFC (but will be held back) but will perform a lot better in a street fight than in the ring.

  • @cesaraugst

Completely agree. I think that the Chinese arts earned a bad rep after the first few UFCs because the fighters who adhered to them didn't know how to train for such a venue. Regardless, I think that if understood and trained correctly the Chinese arts can compete with just about any.

  • "you are a real good ring fighter but you have no skill whatsoever in sef-defense" this is what a specialist in krav maga said to a professional MMA fighter in a TV series, Human Weapon. This illustrates my point in the difference between ring martial sport and real self-defense martial art. Therefore UFC isnt a perfect model for real martial art efficiency assessment. Watch Human Weapon - Krav Maga - Part 1 of 5

  • @cesaraugst

I've seen the whole series. To be wholly honest, I wasn't overly taken by the Krav Maga, but the point made by that instructor was pretty sound.

  • @mindcloudbeta Dude: UFC is just entertainment, is a bussiness!!! You behave like people who thinks that WWE/TNA are real combats. The Chinese defended Shaolin Temples using Kung Fu vs Lots of armed militiamen. Why do all ppl think Kung Fu is not Good? Bruce Lee practiced Kung Fu before his JKD, Without KF, JKD wudn't exist.

  • @robertvoice Very true.. most people have that idea today because most of what passes for "kung-fu" today is so watered down, mixed with karate and without any real "gung" or force training and application that it's no longer that effective for real fighting. It's more wushu, martial SPORT and acrobatics (Peking opera) than real Martial (war) arts as it used to be. When traditional karate men fight modern kung-fu men, kung-fu men often lose because of the training today, not the art itself.

  • @GungFuMan777 I dont agree about karate. Karate is bullshit, even a bad kung fu fighter would win in a fight vs karate. What Okinawan learned from chinese travelers has been downtaken making ir more modern, not the same It was before.

  • @robertvoice While I would surely love to say that is true.. when they did actual fighting some of the traditional karate guys won because they were training more hard core, old style, like Goju-Ryu which is really just basic gung-fu taken from Chinese Crane style. The wushu guys just training for sport had no fighting training while the older karate guys did, hence they won, that's why Kung-fu got the rep in modern times of being pretty but useless for fighting, but that's not really the truth

  • @GungFuMan777 Have you seen the "katas" they do? Just kicking and punching, and a kind of lockings that are so uneffective :S. I don't see how that katas can make a person know how to fight.

  • @robertvoice I've seen them, but they don't really get their fighting abilities from their kata's as much as their regular fighting practice.. but again..notice I said "Traditional" karate guys...I'm sure not talking about most karate in the west you find in malls or most places in the US. What I'm talking about happened in the 50's and 60's when Kung-fu was first watered down but the Karate guys were still training hard core.. it still applies today but even less than back then.

  • @GungFuMan777 Ok, I Got it. Here in Dominican we have an excellent scool named "National Kung Fu Asociation Shaolin 15 Styles" that the training is as hard as shaolin temple, the first day a person goes to training just black out. I blacked out in my first day. xD You can finde our videos here using this criteria "Wushu dominicano" or "Kung fu dominicano". the site is shaolin15estilos(.)com

  • I was taught privately myself, but those who taught me went to Grandmaster Alan Lee's school and he was right from old style Shaolin training. The first day they worked out for 14 hours to weed out the lazy and weak, half the class didn't come back after that. You can see some demos I posted from 1985 on my channel here /user/GungFuMan777#p/u/28/EOU0QQ6XBk8 look for "Alan Lees 1985 Kung-fu Temple Demo 1 of 6" I'll check your vids out too, thx

  • this is just a qi exercise .

he didnt show you the fighting style yet

  • gotta love this cats wrist bands! so 80s style!

  • Real Hung Gar. Also learn this at Van Ark Kung Fu Holland. Only official representation in Holland.

  • Awesome!

  • he is a master earthbender lol

  • Oh I get it!!! Are you a fan of the Avatar??? I like that show.

  • Chiu Chi Ling is the head of hung-gar Kung- fu at the moment. He's the grandmaster, son of chiu chow who was the grandmaster before him. And yes he's the one of Kung- fu Hustle but he played or made the coreography in over 200 films too. I had the luck to met him at the Wong-fei Hung day 2009 :D. He's a very special personality and a good human at all. I know him so well because I am practising Kung-fu at the Kung-fu school Martin Sewer ( Switzerland ) hwo oficial will bee the next grandmaster !

  • This is the best tiger crane form I've seen ever recorded. A true understanding of of hard & soft balance.

  • isnt this guy in kung fu hustle?

  • I think you are correct.

  • he was the guy with the iron rings.

  • this man starred in kung fu hustle and was amazing

  • if u guys wanna see somthnes mixed with internal strnght. check out lam chun fai on here(youtube). he is the i believe the grandson of lam sai wing(won fei hung's last student). he is damn good.

  • cool

  • Right',..there is nothing 'choppy' about this great form! It is hard-press muscle against muscle! GrandMaster Chiu is also in movie 'Kung-Fu Hustle'...and does an Excellent job of performing Hung Kuen Fa! Nay ge' Hung Ga kuen fa si tai ho! Ji go Fu-hok kuen si goo lao. Ho Ho!!! Si-Fu Lee

  • I thought he did Iron Fist in Hustle?

  • There's nothing choppy about this. It is impressive. I do internal styles and even I know that this is a form done with dynamic tension to condition the body. Most people wouldn't be able to get 1/2 way through the form exerting the dynamic tension this master is showing. Truly impressive.

  • i am a student of the ho hok pai style or hun gar in the mexican national asociation of kung fu created for the sifu habraham gandi yuasa

  • this is a beautiful style

  • this form requires a lot of cardio training. trust me.

  • The Hung Gar style focuses more on strong and damaging strikes rather than fast and flashy attacks like the Shaolin Fist. Thats why the Hung Gar is considered one of the deadliest style of Kung Fu ever. If a master go all out, death is always the result.

  • Tiger Crane is one of the most complex forms i've seen in my two years of martial arts. In Karate, it is natural to use crisp and clean techniques, to use the same crispness in fung fu takes decades of dedication.

What I wouldn't give to get trained by these masters.

  • Well my dear friend ! Thats your opinion!

Peace to you and have a nice day!

  • @ChowLiWei I absolutely love how whenever martial artists on youtube get questioned they show such class and respect in their responses, I wish I could be the same when responding to people on my videos.

  • Yet Hung Gar originated from Shaolin Kung-Fu since the person who created it was one of Ten Tigers of Canton~

  • look, its choppy beause he is emphasizing the dynamic tension aspects of this form, which there are quite alot of. this set is just s much conditioning as it is combat applicable. if you knew anything about hung gar, you would know that. I havent even been studying the style long enough to have learned this set, and even I know that. stfu tool. you're the one who thinks you know it all.

  • Oh, I'm sorry friend. I wasn't trying to insult you or anything. I was just stating a fact, and I'm sorry it seemed like an insult. My deepest apologies.

  • I hope you realize that the form has been slowed down for the documentary, when performed at the regular pace this form shows a remarkable fluidity.

  • @cobead i have been training Hun gar for 5 and half years, and i can tell you, if you know that "basics" and basic drills, you´ll always will know what to do in fight, and if you listen more carefully, to the man commenting that video, he describe for what is all of the moves in this "set"

  • @cobead You do not know much about chinese martial arts do you. Either way i will enlighten you. Hung gar was created by hung hei gun, and the person who taught him the hung gar style was Jee Sin who was from the shaolin temple. So basically hung gar is a subdivision of shaolin kung fu

  • @cobead fucking dumbass

do u always ask stupid questions?

  • @cobead

Hung Gar and slow? Well if you practise staticly why not but in real combat... it is fast style as other. It also very individual and depends also on meaning of movements and suroundings. So de facto Hung gar is slow as shalin gung fu ;)

    Best regards

  • @cobead well i have trained Hung gar for 5 years and it is based from shaolin kung fu from southern china

  • @cobead looks like the motions of taekwondo mixed with gungfu(by that i mean the controlled movents)but its still interesting and this guys could still kick my arse lol

  • @MichaelTrystorm Yes it is interesting. I like to watch it. The movements are powerful and this guy is probably tough and very healthy. I am prone to think that this style is none too graceful by comparison to what I study. It's all cool tho so keep on kung fu-ing!

  • @cobead yeah next year im actually going to shaolin temple in sonshan mountians in china (staying for 14 months)cant wait:Dthey say a year of training and they teach you the iron skin techniques a animal form 2 weapons and alot of the forms. My taekwondo teacher sais my form is very strong so should i do tiger?Or go with my weakness?what form would you suggest?

  • @MichaelTrystorm. Tiger is the most fun for me 'cuz of the attitude. I like crane 'cuz I'm a bird. The only weapon I'm fired up about is the staff. I believe one should only perform Kung Fu that is close to the heart. Your heart is unknown to me so I can't make a recommendation. Since you will be in China I figure you can trust your teacher. My teacher is Vietnamese.

  • @cobead

northern shaolin is where it's at!

  • i saw busi in there...thats snake style

  • If anyone seen the show avatar this is what the earth benders are based off of

  • Yeah, it is.

  • The Master have some excellent serious moves!!!!! He`s a real traditionalist....not like most the modern-day imitators. +++AAA1 video clip. I`ve learnt Fu Hawk Song Ying and Gung Gee Fook Fu forms from a friend....the forms here (YouTube)is abit different than the one`s I learnt....but the principles are all there.

  • great 5/5

  • Nice, looks like a good videogame character

  • Thats interesting. I do 5 animal Shaolin Kung Fu, and yet our Tiger Crane Form looks very much similar to this one.

  • wow, i like how he did da drunken punch! cool

    ^_^!!

  • It has been very useful for me, to see this video, because I'm studyin' it by myself and - since I haven't got any help - I have to recognize my errors in some way.

    Thank you.

  • GREAT!!! GREAT MASTER CHIU CHI LING you are good, thats the original tiger crane form this is a great show to watch

  • haha. thats the guy from kung fu hustle

  • yea!!! thats the tailor with the rings around his wrists!! haha he uses that style in the movie too ^^

  • Whoa, you're right! He's so awesome =D. So THAT'S the kung fu style he uses.

  • Bruce Lee learned Wing Chun, this is Hung Gar

  • yeah your are right, but bruce lee had some knowledge of hung gar he performed it on a audition for the green hornet

  • Did Bruce Lee Learn This Art It Wasnt A Differnat Style of Kung Fu

  • what is the song on this video
