  • Do you have any probelms with mosquitoes with the fountain? I would like to put in a small pond and my wife raises the point of mosquitoes and west nile virus.

  • As long as you have moving water you're alright, ie; the fountain. I have more problem with mosquitos with the bird bath because the water is still. Still water allows the opportunity for mosquito eggs to safely hatch. The moving water breaks up the eggs and pulls them through the filter.

  • Excellent. My wife's family used to collect rain water in barrels. As a child she came up with an idea for making them safe from mosquitoe larva. Put a some drops of babyoil onto the surface of the water and they can't breathe. Incredible for a 6 or 7 year old to come up with.

  • I am very impressed, what a thinker your wife was and still is I imagine!

  • Yes very, shes "RiddleSpider" here on the YouTube. Dunno if you have run into her here yet or not.

  • no but I will go and check her out now for certain!

  • Gigilo referred me too you and she is a friend of his also.

  • Ahh peaceful...;)

  • Thanks, Andy. I'm glad you enjoyed it :) You are a sort of benchmark to me, since you are very honest about what you watch and don't watch... was it too long?

  • lol - The time length was perfect Deb, and I am honoured at being the benchmark for your comments lol;)

  • Well, you're very honest, Andy, I respect that very much. I know I can count on you to tell me if a vid's crap :) I hope anyway :)

  • Now we see Minn, now we don't, cool! lovely back garden and nice doggy too!:)

  • Thanks, Anty. The doggy is the great protector of video cameras it seems :)

  • Very nice:):)

  • thankees :)

  • what a gret fountain. This vid is very cool.

  • thank you, alpha. It's my little zen corner. How was the concert?

  • That was really fun, Min (did I see you stuffing down a giggle at the end?) Tiz great you always experiment and do new things :D

  • LOL thanks, Liz. It was a giggle or three. While I was filming the dog kept barking and growling at me, I think he thought I was stalking the camera, which is also the reason for the pup footage, I had to stop and reassure him I wasn't out to attack the camera :)

  • This video was absolutely beautiful. Your yard looks so wonderfully serene! I love the water feature, sound of water is very relaxing.

  • thanks, glee. the fountain is often my sanity :)

  • I really enjoyed this. It was so peaceful. Lovely yard, My Huckleberry Friend! Praying For Peace! ~Mimi~

  • Hi, sunshiney :) I'm glad you liked it.

  • Great butterfly capture. Very zen-like.

  • Interesting. You have a perfectly serviceable garden chair, but seem to prefer sitting up a tree. Odd, but in a good way

    :-) Rob x

  • Yes, I am odd that way :) But then, I like being odd.

  • Wonderful Min Min, but then I've come to expect that of your videos. The only thing wrong is that we don't see more of them and you!

    5*

  • LOL, Geoff. The muse is very fickle these days :)

Minniver, this was only the 2nd time that I've seen a butterfly in ages. The 1st time, recently, was in Colorado in August. Before that, decades had passed since I saw one. Your backyard is stunning. I enjoyed this video tremendously. Your choice of music was first rate

    "cat"

  • I'm so glad I could show you a butterfly, cat. No one should go long without seeing a butterfly, they're good for the soul.

  • Yes, I know. That's why I was amazed when I realized how long ago it had been since I had seen one. The same was true of grasshoppers. I saw my first one in ages when I was in Colorado in August. Amazing! Love the beauty of your garden, Minniver

  • do you have the tab?

  • eh? Remember I'm not a musician... tab?

  • :) Like it :)

  • that was really neat...now I need to spend all night figuring out that bass line....

  • Thank you so much. LOL. Good luck with that :) Want the music?

  • Beautiful Minniver!

  • Winks!

     =)

  • I've waited for the moment when the black and white butterfly would fly away. ^_^

Always nice (and soothing) to see the fountain.

    Take care

  • I know I actually tried to film it until it did. I cut a lot out, he stayed there for 20 minutes, never did get to see him fly away :)Thanks for watching.

  • Wait... Was that a pack of squirrels I saw scampering along the back fence with miniature siege ladders?

  • No, we have used the squirrel relocater, they are... ahem, flying squirrels.

  • Hahaha your so cute ^_^

  • True,that :)

  • Between you & Xmaldoror,I'm feeling O.K. now :)

  • This is a gorgeous,soothing video.Thank you.

  • I needed it as well, I'm glad you enjoyed :)

  • Good ol' Xmaldoror! Ya know, I think he's just a cuddly bunny :)

  • Ha ha,yes,he is and it amazes me that others can't see that XD

  • I'm so sorry to hear that, love. I hate to think of you having anything but smiles and fun.

  • S'aight.Stiff upperlip n' all that :)

  • Lovely! I'm groovin' on the butterfly.

You know, I'm not surprised that you can disappear and reappear like that. I always suspected you had superpowers.

  • I have tried to reply to you 3 times, strange. I was saying Shhhhhhh.... you're letting out my secret! "They" think it's just editing :)
