Oooh such a pretty yard. I love your little water pond. I want to make one in my yard. This was a beautiful, relaxing vid. Loved the music--it was magical.
What a lovely bunch of wanderers you've attracted to your garden, Minn! I am in awe. ::points up... or down, depending on where you're watching this comment::
The haunting images were hyponotic with the backdrop of that beautiful music; but what amazed me the most, was seeing my own reflection in your eyes - it was good to see you smile :)
Wow, the beginning and the end were spooky reminders of that old movie "The Innocents", but wonderful hat, wonderful garden and wonderful dog. Great video.
Do you have any probelms with mosquitoes with the fountain? I would like to put in a small pond and my wife raises the point of mosquitoes and west nile virus.
As long as you have moving water you're alright, ie; the fountain. I have more problem with mosquitos with the bird bath because the water is still. Still water allows the opportunity for mosquito eggs to safely hatch. The moving water breaks up the eggs and pulls them through the filter.
Excellent. My wife's family used to collect rain water in barrels. As a child she came up with an idea for making them safe from mosquitoe larva. Put a some drops of babyoil onto the surface of the water and they can't breathe. Incredible for a 6 or 7 year old to come up with.
Thanks, Andy. I'm glad you enjoyed it :) You are a sort of benchmark to me, since you are very honest about what you watch and don't watch... was it too long?
LOL thanks, Liz. It was a giggle or three. While I was filming the dog kept barking and growling at me, I think he thought I was stalking the camera, which is also the reason for the pup footage, I had to stop and reassure him I wasn't out to attack the camera :)
Minniver, this was only the 2nd time that I've seen a butterfly in ages. The 1st time, recently, was in Colorado in August. Before that, decades had passed since I saw one. Your backyard is stunning. I enjoyed this video tremendously. Your choice of music was first rate
Yes, I know. That's why I was amazed when I realized how long ago it had been since I had seen one. The same was true of grasshoppers. I saw my first one in ages when I was in Colorado in August. Amazing! Love the beauty of your garden, Minniver
I know I actually tried to film it until it did. I cut a lot out, he stayed there for 20 minutes, never did get to see him fly away :)Thanks for watching.
Thanks so much, it's really a mess right now, there's so much I would like to do to it, but I have my corner :) I can ship you a few dozen if you miss the lizards LOL
Ohhhh... I love the bunny fern!! Love the bird bath! Love the pond and the puppy. Love the flutterby. Wish I could grow bouginvilla...wish I could spell bouginvilla. Are you hiding the booze from Thom? ;)Love my ghostie-other-half-o-th-brain! First? Peace mama.
