  • Two very different yet also are the same characters. Spock always favored his vulcan side, wanting to be less human. Data on the other hand wanted to be more human.

  • omg u nerds shut up spock is an old fag compared 2 data

  • @jas16899 blasphemy.

  • Clash of the Titans!

  • lol xD favorit moment

  • Spock>Data

  • I love that response. Just because Spock doesn't show his emotions, doesn't mean that they aren't there. Spock was clearly able to experience and explore his humanity while maintaining the cool exterior of a Vulcan. I love the idea that there is a false dichotomy that Spock broke through so perfectly.

  • MY 2 FAVORITE STAR TREK CHARACTERS TOGETHER AT LAST?!?!?!? AHHH XD

  • this was a fail video as it didnt get the rest of it where they go into a loop of data: 'intriguing' spock: fascinating. Missed the ebst bit. FAIL

  • O.O

It looks like I have missed something. Just a few hours ago I was thinking "It'd be interesting to see Spok and Data interact" and here we have it.

Thanks for uploading, I certainly need to see these episodes soon now XD

  • That was a perfect answer

  • and this would be the final time we would see Nimoy in the role of Spock for 18 years! i just can't get over that LOL. all the shows and movies that came after and no Spock. and i really wanted to see this story to be continued, because they ignore this on the other shows, its like this never happened. the Vulcan's and Romulan's coming back together would have been quite a tale, what a waste. oh well.

  • @henkman00 Star trek online has that story

It shows the cardassians uniting The klingons separating from the federation and attacking the dominion and the borg invading

a new threat that kinda looks like ghosts

  • but...how???? how they are together?

  • @malaperdas30 sigh.....

are you someone whose new to star trek and has only seen the new movie?

vulcans live for like 200 odd years, the next generation series is set in the 24th century- spock is still alive during that time

  • @elcap22 make sense...

  • @elcap22 Hell in the time TNG's set, humans are living into the triple digits. McCoy was 137 in Encounter At Farpoint.

  • Data and Spock are quite alike in personality.

  • @DefLeppardVanHalen

That is what McCoy essentially said upon meeting Data.

  • Spock and Data. Mindblowing!!!

  • Omg haha. :D

  • Fascinating...

  • It's funny (not so funny, actually) how right the writers/producers got this episode, but yet royally screwed up Generations. Oh well, what's done is done.

    This episode is classic.

  • And the point too all this is???

  • @CRUISEOBRIEN1 It means he doesn't actually miss his humanity because he has it still.

  • @io3000gamma Thanks -)

  • Fascinating video.

  • he said "fascinating" with such enthusiasm

  • I found this clip fascinating

  • It is presumed that when they made the episode where two logically mindblowing star trek characters were filmed on the same set, in the same episode, 4 people caught on fire

  • I love them both :3

  • Data vs Spock... just fascinating :p

  • should be one of the most epic moments at star trek

  • Spock always raises an eyebrow and says "fascinating;" Data tilts his head and says "intriguing." Spock seeks to be more Vulcan; Data seeks to become more human.

  • @YesWeCantaloupe thats why the Unification episodes were awesome. Bringing these two together was perfect

  • I HATE JAMES IVES KILL JAMES IVES

  • A bit of a shame you left out the bit of them conversing further about how Spock has abandoned his humanity, something Data is desperate to find himself while Vulcans spend their entire lives trying to become what Data is by design.

  • How my computer didn't explode from the awesomeness of these two being in the same scene together I will never know.

  • MY UNCLE RAPED ME TO THIS EPISODE

  • @mp4401 I told you no more internet, now bend over again.

  • @Qermaq OKAY UNCLE BUT PLEASE DONT CUM IN MY EYE AGAIN

  • @mp4401 no doubt ...

  • So...much...logic...FASCINATING!

  • > "Fascinating".

    < "Intriguing".

    ULTIMATE UNDERSTANDING

  • @Chajagirl I wish I could share this comment on Facebook so everyone could laugh like I just did.

  • @BlackFireGeisha Copy-paste?

  • @BlackFireGeisha Because everyone shares your sense of humour?

  • @Nautilus1972 I'm sure not everyone does. Obviously I was overstating the number of people who would find it as amusing as I did. I stress the 'obviously.'

  • I find this moment very FASCINATING.

  • aaahoho I just got the sudderz.

These two in one scene? O.o I die a happy person

Best two Star Trek Characters EVER

    <3

  • lol Data was like "what happened? I used to be the smart one around here".

  • lol Data was like "what happened?"

  • The only way that could ahve made that scene better would have been for Bones to suddenly burst and start going in about "You damn fool Vulcans an' Androids, green-blooded and no blood...one of 'em's got the mind of a computer and the other IS a damn computer!"

    And somewhere, Kirk is smiling...

  • SQUEEEEE!!!! *fangasm* My two favorite characters of all time in one room and one scene!!

  • Spock is awesome. There is no way around it. I challenge anyone to defy the awesomeness of Spock.

  • I'm surprised the universe didn't explode with these two being in the same room.

  • @nepomusik the comment of all time! lol, excellent!

  • Who in his right mind would think Spock wouldn't OWN Data?

  • @vicentox1999 Spock is way cooler than Data, but Data is a machine. He is far stronger and far more intelligent than any human or vulcan.

  • don't know about that. computers have mathematical ability, they calculate, but the human mind has capabilities that make that look like a cheap parlor trick. Machines have no creativity, nor do they have the ability to create an idea or solution based on a sort of pooling of all variables and information available(something we do without even realizing it, being incapable of conciously processing so many things at once). I discover unique breeds of human inteligence constantly.

  • sweet

  • I always found it funny how similar yet complete opposites the two characters are

On trying to move away from humanity, one trying to embrace it

  • Ah my 2 favourite Star Trek characters =D

  • A perfectly beautiful moment.

  • @AnImmovableObject Yes these moment is so epic!!!

  • The two best Star Trek characters EVER!

  • @Titaniacy damn right!

  • @Titaniacy What of Odo?

  • @Titaniacy I'm a huge fan of McCoy... Data and Spock are my 2nd and 3rd favorites. But I can definitely see how they can be someone's top characters. The Star Trek universe is rich in great personalities and portrayals.

  • @raygoshay1400 He's dead Jim

  • @StefPhoenixOoORising Don't get me started. Now I'm going to watch the clips showing a string of McCoy's death pronouncements...

  • SPOCK IS ON THE OTHER STAR TREK! wat ep is dat?

  • @MaDnEsSandCrAzYnEsS S05Ep07-08 Unification Part 1-2 :)

  • @MaDnEsSandCrAzYnEsS

He has lived long and... well you know the rest.

  • Quite fascinating.
