  • I have been building models for a while but have never heard priming. Do you use a color or something else? Thank You

  • ?? Pre-shading?? On a WOODEN airplane?? Okay, the Hurricane was not all wood, steel and aluminium was also used, but if you would have done better research you would not have used pre-shading ! A little post-shading (use pics of the real aircraft!) will give a more realistic result. So many modelers use the pre-shading technique. Sadly enough, very very few know how and when to use it...... Look at pics of WW2 airplanes. Have you ever seen anything that looks like the pre-shading effect??

  • I'm very new to the hobby, so, can someone explain what the "Pre-Shading" process is, and what it consists of?

    Thank you.

  • after watching this it made me get my kit off the self and paint it hand brush

  • You're doing a very good job.. better than I can do, considering I handbrush.. :) :) Is there a third part?? :)

  • @BasicModelling Not yet! :) Will be soon.

  • @SMConsortium Looking forward to it.. These videos will be helpful.. :) As long as I can find the kit.. I thought I had it in the wardrobe, in my 'rady to be done next' pile.. turns out that was not so!! How frustrating.. :) Never mind, my current project, the FFVS J22 is keeping me quite happy for now.. until I botch it, no doubt! It's bound to happen as I'm building it especially for next months club meeting.. :)
