You are right. The architecture was designed by Preah Pisnoka. He tought Khmer people the tTechnology. Later Some Kings wanted to build the temple from steal or iron but he told Khmer people that steal do not last long. Later he did not get along with some powerful Khmer people and left to China to build Great Wall. Now he came back to Khmer and he has a plan to build another one for God Sakatevareach ( related more to Buddhism). Pyramid in Egypt was he first design.

If your screen name is anything to go by, you yourself are Cambodian. i was really curious, how did they lift all those huge rocks without crane or machinery. Think they must have some kind of magical powers to build Angkor Wat.

@khmerbbs Who says they didn't have cranes? All you need to make a wooden crane is a pivot, a counterweight and rope. The individual stones aren't all that massive. Some were kind of big, but nothing that couldn't be lifted by several strong people with the help of the right system of ropes and pivots and a strong enough scaffold.
