When Wiese died, I got via myspace a message from his friend Frank (from California, Aquarius label) who told me about his death (ironically, the night Wiese died I was sitting and listening to his music for hours with a friend). Later it was mentioned in a IN MEMORIAM text that Wiese would forget to signs contracts with his publishers. He wasn't interested in profits.

You might check out his friend's music: Mathias Grassow - he was born 21 years after Wiese, and they appeared on each others albums, many times. Both of them have this "soul-transporting" element You mentioned. During last years, Grassow was absolutely brilliant. Visit discogs.com to see all his projects.
