what they should have done is had a plot were there is a classic old mansion that gets "spooky" tours during the day. Then some kids decided to make a bet and spend the night and it turns out its all real and stuff. That would have been better

All you need to do is capture the setting and mood of the ride. They did both in POTC, and almost got the setting (the house) right in HM. The problem was, the plot for HM failed to capture the mood of the ride. Instead of being a campy, but still ominous and creepy, Halloween flick, they tried to make it into a Gothic romance/comedy and, as the ride is nothing like that, it failed miserably.

Everyone keeps saying "This is not a scary film!" but its not meant to be scary! Its Disney! Disney would get such bad publicity if they made a "horror" film. This is a film for all ages. It is a family comedy, not a scary film!

Very cool. Movie would have been better if they had taken your approach to the storyline and production (more spooky like Pirates of the Caribbean). Instead, they went for a hefty helping of cheese. Maybe you could reedit the movie for Disney.

I actually liked the movie. It wasn't amazing like POTC, but it's not over the top like POTC sometimes is. And, one thing is for sure, I sure wouldn't want to go into that house. O_o
