Buffalo doesn't need a "workhorse" they need an OL first and foremost, and a true playmaker like CJ which they have now. That offense has been lacking a guy who can break the game open for a while now, and nobody can break a game open quite like CJ Spiller.
@BcL07 If CJ started more college games, he could have put up Reggie Bush numbers. CJ is a sick athlete but he may have a Bush type NFL career, nothing wrong with that, but you expect more from a top 15 pick. I agree O-Line is most important for your run game but every team needs a workhorse back, especially for cold weather teams, which is BIG a strike against CJ, something Bush doesnt have to deal with. I like Best to have a better career than CJ, indoors, zone blocking scheme, time will tell
CJ did have Bush numbers. He and Bush are the only 2 guys in CFB history to have 3000/1500/1000/500 (thats yardage in rushing, receiving, kickoffs, and punts). CJ is the all-time NCAA leader in returns for TD's. His numbers would have been even sicker if he didn't split time for 3 years. I agree CJ isn't a 30 carry a game workhorse, but they have Lynch too to cover for that, and even Jackson for now too.

Spiller, Best, Matthews, McCluster, Dwyer, McKnight, Gerhart, Hardesty, and Tate are very good backs. And the reason Best was caught from behind is because #21 got a hand on him and slowed him down.

There are only going to be a couple "very good backs" out of CJ, JB, Matthews, & Hardesty. McCluster is slow for a small guy, KC is trying him @ WR. Dwyer, 6th round? something's fishy. McKnight= soft, headcase w/character issues. Gerhart will have an injury plagued career. Hardesty is a steal. Tate is average but if Moats can run for 125 & 3 TDs in a game, Tate is licking his chops

Buffalo doesn't need a "workhorse" they need an OL first and foremost, and a true playmaker like CJ which they have now. That offense has been lacking a guy who can break the game open for a while now, and nobody can break a game open quite like CJ Spiller.

CJ is a sick athlete but he may have a Bush type NFL career, nothing wrong with that, but you expect more from a top 15 pick. I agree O-Line is most important for your run game but every team needs a workhorse back, especially for cold weather teams, which is BIG a strike against CJ, something Bush doesnt have to deal with. I like Best to have a better career than CJ, indoors, zone blocking scheme, time will tell

CJ did have Bush numbers. He and Bush are the only 2 guys in CFB history to have 3000/1500/1000/500 (thats yardage in rushing, receiving, kickoffs, and punts). CJ is the all-time NCAA leader in returns for TD's. His numbers would have been even sicker if he didn't split time for 3 years. I agree CJ isn't a 30 carry a game workhorse, but they have Lynch too to cover for that, and even Jackson for now too.
